I'm watching Babylon 5. I am not much of a Olympic fan. The sports I do like they never broadcast.

I dunno, Chris - I thought the opening stuff was pretty amazing. The little boxes-as-human-screensaver thing blew me away, and the people running around the giant, floating globe was damned impressive.

But you do need to lay off the Pixie Stix - methinks you've had a bit too much sugar!

I'm so bored with TV I may take up reading again... :)

Meh. I've never cared for televised history. Someone else gets to decide what to focus on and I don't usually agree with the decisions they make.

OK, Chris - are you smoking? I mean, I've got all kinds of thoughts about how much individualism has been robbed from these 15.000 performers, but (some part of my brain that I'm much ashamed of thinks) might it not be worth it?

A little?

The opening ceremonies were f**king amazing. I normally hate this stuff, but... the HUGE and mobile LCD board, the 2,008 intense damned drummers, the aforementioned guys in boxes making wave patterns (!), the harnessed runners on the globe, the tai-chi done in unison by another 2008 people....

I have to admit, in all humility, as an artist and a dancer, that this opening ceremony kicked my ass.

Nahwww , that Fedora makes Nate look bumpkinish , and enhances his naturally-turnipy essence...

JOE FLANAGAN , yeah , THAT Joe Flanagan , is a NATURAL INDY...He's got the T.H. Ford mannerisms , and the looks ,( apart from the ears not being a perfect match , but they actually never are...)

Sigh , but G-Lu wants that Shy LaBUFFY kid installed , and that ain't ever gonna work...

We don't want no steenking 'son of indy' , if we can have a viable Dr. Henry Jones , Jr.

Col. Sheppard for INDY 5 !
