I dont usually watch reality TV but Survivor is the exception to that rule.

Does anyone agree with me that Boston Rob was still playing the game when he asked Amber to marry him before the winner was announced? I reckon he had an inkling that he wasnt going to win the Million so by marrying Amber he would in fact not be able to lose. Boston Rob is a SNAKE!

I never have watched Survivor, but everytime someone mentions it, or tells a story from it or what have you all I can think of is:

"Let's go back to the ship and nuke them from orbit, it's the only way to be sure."

Which is so very, very true.

But that does sound pretty snakey if ya ask me.

Cookies! Chocolate chip? I will lie about not being a huge Survivor junkie for chocolate chip cookies.

I think Boston Rob plays the game in his sleep. But I think he feelings for Amber are genuine, it just helped him make the decision, that's all.

Was Big Tom a jerk, or what???

The Boo Box? Like on Jaynestown, right? Can I get the cookies slipped through the little food hole?

actually I think he debated and decided (rightly) that it would be worse if he proposed AFTER she won a million dollars! LOL

He did ask her parents for permission, which earns points...because nobody does that now days.

so, I guess I can confess that I watched? LOL
but I didn't see last nights extra show...it sounded way too lame (and a huge waste of time)

It sure looked like he was still playing the game. I'm glad Rupert won the second million. My wife voted for him, I didn't.

I like Survivor and I really liked Survivor All-Star. I think Survivor is like Corporate America. You got the cruisers, the brown nosers, the hot dogs, liars, back stabbers, leeches, those that work, those that don't. Oh yeah, those that sleep their way to the top.

I'm glad Rupert won, as well. He deserved to win Pearl Islands, but Boston Rob deserved to win all-stars. Did you see Lex's eyes popping out of his head when he got voted out? OH!! And NO ONE mentioned Kathy re-nigging on the immunity necklace for him, either!!

That is what i thought too! I also thought they both should have been disqualified because there are really only two rules in Survivor: You can never hit somebody, and you can't conspire to share the money.

Hello, getting married equals sharing the money!

I couldn't believe that Lex didn't know he had done the same thing to Ethan... it seems silly to think that Rob would recognize a commitment to friendship that Lex didn't recognize his own self.

And Kathy is just such a ditz...people like that are just begging Rob to take advantage of them!

I'm not sure I would say that Rupert deserved it, that was a gift...
fact is that Rupert never played the game,
never used his brain
never took responsibility and tried to get rid of Rob

Simply put, Survivor is a game of Musical Chairs. Lex just didn't have a chair left at the end. And for some reason, he blamed Boston Rob, not the rules of the game. Basically, anyone who is at the final 3, has to have done whatever they had to do to get there. Some lie, cheat and steal (a la Johnny "Fairplay") and some cruise under the radar.

Personally, if I were on the show, I'd have a huge bull's eye tatooed on my back, just for the laughs.

I agree. When I saw Colby, Lex, Hatch and Kathy all together on one tribe, I thought that tribe would win. I thought they were all smart players. I was wrong

I think Rupert cruised through the game and got lucky.

Woah...

i'm picturing Jayne with a long black wig...and surprisingly, it does look like Cap'n Hook.

i'm trying to think of something eerier (is that even a word?) than that I just...its not coming.

I love Hook. When i was little i would watch it every every day. Still one of my favorites! Its just above Labrynth in my list of movies i will always hold near and dear to me.

Jeez if I had known Rob was trying to be YOU I would have watched 'the lame extra show'...
but the surprise of Rupert getting the $ was kind of a fore-gone conclusion...
similarly I knew the voters would pick Colby and Amber as the sexiest...

Don't do that to your dogs, Tracer. But by all means throw it away. Fortunately, mine broke right after FF went off the air (how about that? a TV with taste). You won't miss it, believe me. In fact, after its been gone awhile, you'll start to see how insane the whole mess really is. Of course, maybe you don't want to see and I suppose I'd have to respect that....
