I was wondering what y'all thought.

Of course Talk Like A Pirate Day is the 19th, but Capt. Reynolds birthday is on the 26th. Anyone think we should celebrate that day/evening with drinks via the 'net?

Barkeep!

If you please a pint of your finest ale. We are celebrating them pulling the vent and feeding tube on my father three days ago. He's doing much better!
He needs to start swallowing without breathing in his water/applesauce/whatever or they're going to have to resort to the tube again so he gets something to burn while healing. He also can't really talk except at a low and almost inaudible whisper. Lip reading is a challenge.

Also: slackernurse pulled a no call/no show today. In theory the manager can can her can.

Hey there peeps. Good to see the countdown to TLAPD started already! Yaaaarrrgh!

So what're all ye scurvy sea dogs adoin' today then?

Gee, have you considered chopping off the offending leg and trying a wooden one in honour of the occasion?

FLT has two misbehaving limbs but I'm not sure two wooden legs would work!

MsB, how's your ankle doing?

Hey Ems,

I have frequently contemplated the replacing of my foot with a wooden block when the frustration kicked in but having had the op and being close to all the running, jumping, kicking type activities I feel now would be a really dumb time to finally remove the limb just for ITLAPD.

So how's the new flat there ye scury dog?

LEGO Star Wars kicks ass, I love playing through it, and my kids like playing it too. I've heard some bad things about the actual full release of Force Unleashed, such as the demo was much better than the actual game, and it's not that fun to play. *shrug* I doubt I'll be getting it, either way.

I've never had trouble with my 360 overheating, and I've never heard of troubles with a Wii doing it either. Interesting.

I've only heard of a few but the fans seem to work. Lego Star Wars is the shiznit. I've been playing RE4 just for giggles as I beat the crap out of it on PS2 and it helps to familiarize with the control dynamics of the Wii. I love it.

And Silent Hill should keep me busy till Mirror's Edge comes out.

Completed Guitar Hero - Aersosmtih or medium and hard and five weeks ago, but leant it to a mate along with my spare remote and only numchuck so doesn't matter, might treat myself to something after my exam in mid oct when I'll have a bit of a break till jan frome serious OU courses.

Might have a play with the SWG free trial or replay KOTR I or II to kill the sudden SW games urge I have.

Competed first lego star wars on xbox but definately want the comple one on wii

And yes, Gee, you heard correctly.

I only have LEGO Star Wars for the 360, so it's just pushing a button to me. I would like to play something like Resident Evil or possibly a FPS with the Wiimote, I think that would be awesome.

Controls are pretty basic with the exception of usin the Wii remote to move the cursor when in firing mode, swinging the remote when armed with the knife, and using the remote as you would key buttons in one of those interactive cut scenes.

Actually I like it more than the PS2 version. Seems a bit more interactive. Our Wii fan should be here tommorrow. I love living 30 miles from an Amazon distribution center.

Good morning Ponderers.

Buzzin' offa maple glazed donut and Diet Pepsi. Kinda tired but poor MSB is worse off than I. Stupid tiny penis next door always has to goose his Mustang while leaving. Wish the thing would blow up already. He never warms it up before tearing ass down our street and that isn't good for an aluminum headed engine with an iron block. It wakes her u when he leaves at four in the morning. I'd say something to him but he obviously has "little mans syndrome" and could be stupid enough to step up.

I'd just have to feed him that Mustang.

Rectally.

Kelkhil yup it was hilarious. She had on her naughty school girl costume( I have been forbidden to post the pics I took of it) and guys would stop to look at Doc dressed as Hellboy and then they'd see her and try to keep walking through the crowded bar..they'd bang into furniture, walls, trip over ottomans...it was truly hilarious to watch. eventually I had to suggest we move over a bit as she was causing injury

Do any brilliant scientists have the cure for the common cold yet? is really annoying, and I couldn't even go to school because this morning I apparently got a nasty stomach bug as well- vomiting twice in 15 min while trying to get ready for school, and I wasn't about to try going to school like that. I'm pretty much better now that I've slept in til noon, but now I can't go to school as I have no transportation (dad's at work, mom can't drive because she has nerve system issues, she'll get really bad dizzy spells unpredictably), even though today was kinda important because scholar's bowl tryouts are today... ah well it shouldn't be a problem getting in, we didn't have very many people signed up and we're kinda informal anyway, basically anyone can join as long as they go to practices regularly..... yeah, I think I better shut up now
