I'm guessing that this is the standard evaluation for teaching. If the system is like where I used to work, there's a two year and one day probationary period, and evaluations are done at least once a year. With No Child Left Behind (NCLB) that's changed to "monthly," "quarterly," or "semesterly." (Even though it was called something like "evaluating the school" -- you're still getting evaluated for how well you're doing/not doing.)

As for the "normal Hooman" -- the evaluator could be the other end of the range for "average hue-man".

Yup probationary because I'm new to this district and eval in Dec, Feb, and Apr to keep my job. Eval went ok I didn't get the scores I normally get and the feedback was bitchy at best, but I lived:)

oooh hunting.

saw somethin weird this evening as a matter of fact. the bf and i were coming back from an outing, and as we rounded a curve in the road we saw a car stopped ahead on our side of the road with its hazards on. on the opposite side of the road was a truck pulled off to the side out of the way (facing the proper direction) and a line of cars facing us in the oncoming lane. the first person in line in that lane flashed his lights at me to slow down (though i already was) and i pulled to a stop behind the car with its hazards on. now my first thought was "oh my god, someone's been hit" because i saw something lying in the road..

nope. it was a deer.

Mind you, this deer wasn't dead. It was lying in the road sure, but it was lounging, staring up at the car in the opposite lane like "hey man, how's it goin?" I'm pretty sure its legs were probably broken, because it was making no moves to get up or anything, but it wasn't freaked out and didn't seem to be in any pain, which was the odd part. Of course, the deer wasn't blocking the car in the oncoming lane, the idiot was just afraid to move his car @_@ so finally i just started waving him on and he eventually started moving again, because there was no way myself or any of the cars behind me could have gotten around the hazards car or the deer with ppl in the opposite lane @_@

What's even weirder is when he started driving away, the deer just turned its head to look behind himself and follow the car as it left, like it was just something to do. we got around the flashing car, and the deer stared at us as we went by. I'm hoping, since that car seemed to be stationing itself there until the deer was taken care of and the truck on the opposite side of the road wasn't moving, that one or both of them had the decency to call animal control or the police @_@ that or the idiot who wouldn't drive past the deer. hope it's gonna be okay :\

well that's my story for the week XD

barkeep, some hot tea please. it's COLD out there ><

hey Kel,

I'm afraid it's just going to get worse, I don't see where the Lions get a win they're in that much trouble unless a late game where the opposition are resting starters, would have to check the schedule but don't see it.

Stomach is rubbish but no news there, got a new weight bar at the weekend, which I am stupidly excited about and used this morning in all it's awesomeness, just hope I can play football properly this evening.

Look on the bright side Kel, your mistress did not kill you so she obviously didn't take offense at you stating that she didn't exist.

Edit: Hey hk, the whole 0110 is lovely, like I said, have you considered sacrificing you colleagues to alleviate the boredom/placate the gods.

Weekend hmm... well Saturday sucked! (is a U od M fan as well) Top off the U of M loss with the fact that if Michigan State won then OSU would have gotten to the Rose Bowl again!!!! So yeah !

I got my garage cleaned out though so now I can park in it and not have to shovel off my car in the morning after the snow!

The boy is drooling like a fiend (teething) but has finally figured out that crawling thing so now he is mobile.

Daughter has the entire week off. WTF???? It's not fair! I only ever had Thurday and Friday off for Thanksgiving Weekend when I went to school!(and I had to walk 15 miles to school every day! Through driving blizzards and 10 feet of snow!)

How 'bout your weekend Lassy? Anymore awesome product placement photos or other excitement?

I forgot Thanksgiving was so close although in fairness my major memory about it is hearing Madden banging on about Terduckens and thinking about it, Jon Stewart has the week of so no Daily Show, boo!

Anyway, I ought to get back to being busy and unimpressed with the managers peopling are ccing into emails to me forgetting that I look after their computers too so know them.

NO i didnt have a gun on me @_@ I'm only just 20 so i can't have a permit *or* own/carry a gun yet -_- (course by the time i turn 21 guns will probably be outlawed @_@ *growls maliciously*)
I wanted to call animal control but i don't have the number for them >< and the bf kept telling me not to worry about it, even though he could have called and I wanted him to (i was driving, so i couldn't). Drove down that same road the next day though and the deer was gone, not on the side of the road or anything, so gladly it was taken care of.

Have you ever read the books?
If not, your opinion is irrelevant.

Let me see if I can bring this down to your level.... Think about what it would have been like if Firefly was a phenomenal best selling series of novels by Joss Whedon instead of a tragically short-lived television show. Then, if FOX decided to take those beloved novels and have one of their corporate hacks write a screenplay and give the director's chair to someone whose only experience was in "reality television" and a budget lower than the tragedy that was Serenity (minus anything near "good" special effects) - taking out all the substance, all the emotion, all the character development, everything that made it exceptional.... The imagined pain from that scenario? Nowhere near the devistation wrought upon the Twilight saga by this first movie.

I would gladly, gleefully re-live the cancellation of Firefly over and over and over than suffer the disappointment that was this movie.

(Now that I think of it, this would have made a brilliant television series instead of a set of movies... probably better than that one lame space western) ((sigh))

Still, as it stands, I would sell you all out in a heartbeat for the opportunity to have my very own Edward. ^^

Exactly. Steph Meyer wrote the books very well, and they got a couple of hacks who don't know what they're doing to deal with the translation from book to screen, which is a tragedy. As I said before the previews *alone* were enough to make me cry for how badly they've wrecked it, and other people I know who've read the books agree.

Quote:

Now that I think of it, this would have made a brilliant television series instead of a set of movies

Absolutely couldn't agree more. As a series it would have allowed more breathing room for the development and depth that went into the books, but of course, it's a little late for that. ><

Still say the Lions are winning this THursday!

DO NOT SELL the Wii! It is the awesome! They are actually releasing a party game that uses the Wii Board that you control by sitting on it! Come on! How many systems are going to let ya control a game with your Butt????

Well, that would actually require me to buy the balance board thing, which would move me further away from my goal of an Xbox 360.

The deals that will be coming down on for the 360 over the Holidays and into the new year will be insane. I don't think you will be short on cash for it Zero.

although around x-mas the Wii could get ya a pretty penny

Tough choice
