Missed gig yesterday as felt like poo but hopefully get to see a mater of mine play a gig tomorrow, she has a four octave range so really looking forward to it. Yes, it is probably wrong and illegal to be that happy without medical supervision. Go ahead, it's good for you!

If son will EVER GET HIS ROOM CLEAN I'll be ready for tonight. (I may have to lend a hand on this one.) We're down to sorting and organizing. He's pretty good at keeping on top of laundry (when you remind him to bring it down) and it (mostly) ends up in the hamper, but he's just got too many things and

from school that doesn't get tossed regularly.
(How many pipecleaner jedi can one child need?! But he made them and they are precious to him at 9 years old.. then there's the schoolwork, and the artwork, and the craft projects, and the gorram drive through toys. We never had this problem when he was contented with a fish sandwich and fries. But nooooo... now he gets the "moody meal" and the plastic mounts to the ceiling.)
Last month we went through the toys that he never plays with and got rid of at least half the crap in his room. (Not crap, it was gifts which he's held onto for the last five years. People give him things, and then it stays because it's part of The Horde, and then you have to point out that while it did come out of the box once three years ago, and the box is now lost forever along with the instructions, he does not actually use it and someone else might like it more.

NO, I do not actually throw it all out despite occasional threats, though it is tempting.

Yes, I have tried suggesting that one gift each from the relatives would be sufficient as he has too much stuff. This has not worked to date. It's not that he wants everything he sees, or asks for anything really, it's that people like to give him things because he's so enthusiastic about *everything* he gets. Curse me for teaching him to say thank you!
