Sonny, who sang the FF Theme for the Series, is in poor health and needs our assistance. Please do all you can for this gentle, gracious man. Thank you.

I Hope Sonny Gets Well Soon :(

Firefly Theme Song
Main Title Theme Written by: Joss Whedon
Performed by: Sonny Rhodes

Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me
Take me out to the black
Tell them I ain't comin' back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me
There's no place I can be
Since I found Serenity
But you can't take the sky from me...

I don't know how or where to post this otherwise, if someone knows how to get suggestions to the man himself?:

Depending on which state he lives in, there could be Emergency Medicaid like things available to him. That would free up money for a little while from medical bills to pay rent and power. It's part of what the social contract is all about. "You pay your taxes, we take care of you when you need it" sort of thing.

I'm not saying not to donate, just suggesting another source of help should the Browncoats fall a little flat with his needs. I'm a nurse, we like to see people get the help they need when they need it.

There might be other community resources and programs available, short and longer term, and you'd be amazed at who qualifies.

One hip is big surgery, both is bigger, it's often done six months to a year apart to give you time to recover. He's not going to be feeling too perky for a while when you pile that on top of whatever else is going on.

Cards and letters usually lift someone's spirits if nothing else. His postman will probably get a hernia if we get hold of a mailing address knowing this crowd.

How about emails, we're good at sending emails! Unless he doesn't have easy access to email, in which case it's pretty silly, unless someone could print them out for him, but that could run into a lot of paper, but then he could burn it all to keep the house warm, but then the toxins from the burning ink and paper would make him sick, but then we could send more letters... I'll just stop before I kill the poor man with kindness, shall I?

I would assume that this means he's doing better:

Just saw a commercial for the "Pickle's Blues Extravaganza" here in my home town, and Sonny is scheduled Be the Headliner on the second night.

below is a link to the site for the fest
