SCHISM

Does nationalism even enter into it in the 'Verse?

Various characters are from various planets, but we have to remind ourselves that each planet has the likelihood of being equal to earth in size.

Which means they'd likely be split into countries.

However when your 'world' is made a much smaller by the existence of other accessible planets, do you patriate yourselves to specific land-masses, or to the planet itself?

And when each planet seems to be a melting pot of various races and cultures, there's little to diversify one planet from the next except the climate and, in this case, the level of Alliance control/interference.

So, in the case of FF's "The 'Verse", would there be countries? Or are planets the new 'country'?

And if so, does the individual allegeance to one's country/planet equal that of todays? Given that we only have one planet, it's small, and we have to guard our own plot of land a little more carefully, through the civil veil of patriotism.

Thoughts?

RIPWASH

I don't think that nationality or patriotism is relevant in the 'Verse. The Alliance is what everyone is supposed to unite under. The Alliance is the governing body, there are no countries or separate governments to ally one's self with. I think that people would consider themselves FROM a certain place (i.e. Persephone or Whitefall) but that would be about it.

"Get it running again."
"Yeah"
"So not running now"
"Not so much
