Hey Cellar oooh the joy of paper grading... sort of like very slowly slamming your hand in a car door:)

Ok back to eating crackers and peanutbutter ( lost all interest in meat a week or so ago... need protein)It's kind of like reverse craving...instead of craving stuff I just start hating the taste of stuff...

Ooh, spaghetti...! Now I know what dinner's going to be! Unless I actually read my local Papa John's pizza marquee correctly and it really did say that today only I can get an XL cheese pizza for only $1.99.

Teaching was kinda wacky today--my students got to give ME a grade (kinda, it was teacher evaluations at the university)!

And yes, yay for not throwing up! To have that on top of a dreary day would just be unfair.

Edit: some wise guy removed one of the ones apparently. :P Spaghetti it is!

professor evals are fun, especially if u can get creative with the teachers u didnt like. unfortunately, if theyre on tenure, there's little chance of u saving others from their horrible teaching skills ><;; fortunately i've only rarely had to give a bad review. good luck CD ^_^ i'm sure your students love you.

Snow's mostly melted here for now. I made it through another day of work. Tomorrow's off and we're dropping off the car for repairs, but there was a message from the body shop talking about a rental for today. Crap.

I believe even if it's made the italian way with seafood ingredients included, they do commonly eat that with pasta. I found that out the hard way. Me no like seafoody bits. I like my subway version of marinara better.

It doesn't matter what you put it on. There are no rules.

I find the thicker "pasta sauce" as you name it is better for breads because it sticks better

Ya know, technically... if you put a sauce of any sort on top of pasta... it actually becomes, by default, "pasta sauce". Marinara or otherwise. Also? Feel free to look up any Italian restaurant menu in America, and you will inevitably find pasta with marinara sauce.

Apparently I've never had good marinara sauce then. It always seems too watery. 'Course, that could be on account of my liking rotini better than most pasta types, and it's just really hard to drain all the water out of rotini... But even in restaurants, it's like goopy (goopey?) tomatoes and some spices stewed in too much water. I'm trying to remember, does my Italian grandmother call pasta sauce "gravy"? I think she might...

Meh, I got lazy anyway, ate colby jack on crackers for dinner instead of all this delightful pasta, read a cheesy romance novel and waited for Castle to come on. :P

Hot SoCo would be nasty, really.... Ew.

yes NVG = amazing and wonderful ( did all the dishes last night and cooked dinner for grumpy wife... then survived hurried wife leaving early and no breakfast... NV)

Marinara (mah-ree-NAH-rah) - Means "sailor" in Italian (sailor style of tomato sauce). A spicy, quickly cooked pasta sauce of Italian origins but far more popular in American restaurants featuring southern Italian cuisines than in most of Italy
