ok, so i just got my first Blu player, ( LG BD370)
Mainly got it for the netflix streaming capablities.
(allready have a pioneer Divx cerified up-converting DVD with a front side usb port[ watchin .avi's off flashdrives!! ])

so my question:
other than Firefly and Serenity, what should my first Blu movie purchase be? ( something that will really WOW me)
and before anyone mentions lord of the rings, i have ZERO interest in those movies. My brother got me the first one for xmas when it came out on DVD. never made it more than 30-45 min in before i fell asleep.
every time.
EVERY SINGLE TIME i tried to give it a watch.

Iron Man, my first Blu-Ray purchase (before Serenity came out). I saw it on a HDTV in Best Buy and knew I had to have a Blu-Ray player.

I'm streaming Netflix on my daughter's XBOX 360 and just bought a Roku player for a second TV-moving and I figure she'll dominate the XBOX now that it'll be in the living room.

-Kill Bill 1, and 2

Got to agree with Dark Knight and Wall-E, both are absolutely excellent Blu's. I also have Hellboy 2, which I thought was excellent. I still need to get Iron Man, but that's up there on my list.

Unfortunately not out in Aust, but what I expect to be EXCEPTIONAL buys for Blu, are:

Children of Men

The Fountain

Pan's Labyrinth

I forgot Wal-E. Wonderful in Blu-Ray. BTW Blu-Ray DVD's just went up from $1 to $4 per month on Netflix. Still very good for those titles you want to see buy not own.

I have the Planet Earth box set on blu ray and if you like nature shows, they're pretty... pretty.
