Funny, I was listening to this song on just that, half of my mistakes. Maybe a little over half of my mistakes I wish never happened, but the others were fun and had not so bad outcomes.

How far would you go to convince others of something???

If I am really into it I will argue, cajole and totally manipulate to get someone on board with my idea...

It's been 7 years and I'm still actively spreading the Firefly love. Is that a good example? hehe

It depends on what I'm arguing but if I'm totally convinced I'm right and there can be no other opinion or situation where I'm wrong then I'll go pretty far to keep pushing the point. Even when I know I'm arguing with someone to stubborn to ever give in (someone like me perhaps?).

but tbh, I wouldn't push my views on anyone. As long as they've come to the conclusion themselves, I have no problem with their beliefs. I just don't like people who only agree with things because that's all they know.

Ok, say it wasn't a view on something, but an actual full on argument, and I was definitely right ... I get frustrated and scream in people's faces sometimes :P and then I prove it. If it can't be proved, I get others to back up my point. I always win. xD

Ponderable: Ever wake up one morning to find out that you and your co-workers had done such a good job doing what you were hired to do, that you as of the end of the day would no longer have that job?
(No, not fired, just "You guys were so efficent, that there's nothing left so we're going to have to let you go.")

What would you do if that happened to you? (Besides start looking for a new job?)

I'd talk to the supervisor and make the case that I should be hired permanently to assist since I did such a good job. Also I'd bring my resume and all my skill list with me and ask if any of my other skills would be suitable to assist... ( like data collation and tabulation since you've done such a bang up job collecting it)

That is an effective employee, one that can work themselves out of a job. Those are the folk management should be mandated to move up, but don't.

I was thinking this afternoon (smelling smoke), I hardly see myself as "the boss" with my suboordinates. There has got to be something wrong with that.

Oh yeah, MSA always wins. I can have concrete evidence, eyewitnesses, and a signed note from Jesus Christos himself and she still wins.

Mostly she is just much smarter and convinces me otherwise.

(Giggles because of her mothers tendancy to do the same)

*giggles*
Thanks..
Bit of background info: This was a temporary job...everyone knew it, but we were told that we'd be working until the end of next month.

Unfortunately, that means (as a low-level peon) that there's really no one to go up to and persuade to keep us all there. (Even my supervisors are losing their jobs.) While we're all probably on a list somewhere for picking up/hiring for the next iteration of job hires, there's nothing right now for us to do nor reason to keep us.

Oh well, I got paid for going to class for a week, and doing a little over 2 weeks of work. Not a bad job (and a great little update to my resume for the next great hunt...)

As for persuading others -- I show them why I think the way I do (at least for the goodness that is Joss)....*heh* I've gotten an ex to watch "Dr. Horrible" and throw quotes back at me, I've gotten my current to watch "Dollhouse" and a few of my collegues to watch "Serenity" or "Firefly" -- Most of the other debates are open-ended (unless we're talking about why NCLB:No School Left Unpunished, No Teacher Left Without an Ulcer is a stupid idea...)

NVG: See, that's where you're missing the obvious -- you need the great divinity itself (not an offspring, nor an agent of the divinity) to show up and agree with you. 'Course then MsA would be all persuasive-like with logics and whatnots to get the divinity to agree with her at the same time...

Women sheesh. MsA has just shown exactly how evil you ladies can be. She's now got NVG completely stuck. If he says "OK you win. You don't always win" he'll still be asking for trouble cause he's just displaying how she always wins.

My recommendation is to drop to the floor and play dead. It probably won't work but at least you can't get in trouble for saying the wrong thing.

So I like to be told what to do or what is right. Reassuring is MSA's decision making ability.

I can beat that ... I'm sequencing Tainted Love by Soft Cell in Music Tech.

For those who don't know, sequencing is copying a piece to almost perfection. I have to create near enough the exact synth sounds, plus work out most of the notes (I got a skeleton score of the main riffs, plus the whole vocal line) ... I have been listening to that damn song for at least 4 hours a week, every week, since October ... -.-

It came on in TopShop the other day and I nearly stormed out. Then I realised that would class as theft as I was trying on clothes at the time. Tehe.

EDIT: HUGS both MsA and NVG ... sounds like you could both use some extra sleep!

Probably the why is teh alarm going off... it was waaay too hot to sleep last night and then someone ( it might have been me, but you never know) stole his blanket and threw it off the bed because it's presence made the someone overheated ... and then after it got cold might have given him another less warm blanket by accident in her... ahem or his... sleep deprived and befuddled state.

There is also my concern over my sisters kids who will suffer her shitty lifestyle because she can't stay in one place long enough for them to be comfortable and is more than likely with the piece of shit tweeked out beaner piece of shit ( I mentioned he's a piece of shit because he is an incredible piece of shit) that she got in trouble with a few years back which made it so my mom had the kids for quite a while..."

Teacher didn't pick .. exam board did. Its coursework .. as for you song choices, lemme elaborate:

The Moby Stuff: Idk exactly what Moby songs they are (not listened to much, I'm afraid) but his pieces strikes me as hard to copy.

Sweet Dreams: Would, admittedly be fun, but thats a good song on its own, and listening to any song that much would kill it. At least I didn't love Tainted Love before I started!

Final Countdown: is already being studied on the silibus through the "80s Rock" topic. And definitely doesn't have any synth sounds to create.

Being on a paintball team sounds like good times. I loved it the one and only time I went. Twas expensive, but worth every penny. My team won, I like to tell myself I contributed greatly to that. The bruises I had liked to tell me that there were no winners that day, only those who lost a little less.
