was browsing around Star Treks site and found a VERY interesting article about the Visual Effects Society Ceremony held a few days ago. Read this:

A mysterious automated repair station earned the modelmakers of Enterprise honors from the Visual Effects Society (VES) at its first annual awards ceremony last night. John Teska, Koji Kuramura, Pierre Drolet and Sean Scott were cited in the category "Best Models and Miniatures in a Televised Program, Music Video or Commercial" for their work in "Dead Stop," which was directed by Roxann Dawson.

Enterprise garnered one other VES nomination, "Best Visual Effects in a Television Series," on behalf of Shockwave, Part I," but lost to the pilot episode of Firefly.

Thats right.. Firefly took home the best visual effects award! Firefly might be dead for now, but still manages to kick enterprises ass!

Hehe love, breath, and die for, Firefly!

That's so wonderful and sad all at the same time. That crazy Ivan just makes my entire day every time I see it. They deserved an award for that - it was a jaw-dropper.

I just noticed that the screencap that came up for my response was the scene where Jayne pulls that big thing down initiating the Ivan. WOOHOO!!!

Firefly is great, but lets just make sure you dont' trash Star Trek too much them are fighting words. lets just say they are on equal footing. besides, firefly isn't completely dead its just on life suport, the movie will be out soon

Kinda reviving a dead thread here....

Anyway, around here, I'd keep pro enterprise opinions to yourself as those often turn out to be fighting words ;) Personally I watch it and find it enjoyable(but I've been a trekkie for many years), but I find firefly far better.
