Firefly 3047, Jericho 3002

Auto-voter seems to be off. Jericho has stayed at 3002 almost an hour. Monday and Tuesday was going up steadily one vote at a time instead of their usual jumps. But don't quit voting!

How does this auto-voter work? Do they just rent a botnet and use a spider to vote every six hours from each zombie?

I don't know. I just see a regular bumping up one vote at a time. Happened two weeks ago with their 900 votes in one day, and again Monday through early this morning.

Seems to have started up again, now, going up a single vote about every thirty seconds. If it's not a bot, somebody's got no life!

(False alarm - it was just their Swedish voter getting in a burst of votes. The same one that started this all...)

If someone had automated bot, they could run it every six hours and crush any other contenders. But here we are seeing a horde show up once and a while. We saw that over at TVVote from time to time, and it was always the result of someone getting a larger message board group momentarily motivated to come in as individuals and vote the old fashioned way.

Anyone been checking out the Jericho message boards? Seen any chatter about a bot, or mobilizing a horde of individuals who could be motivated to vote once and a while?

I've been watching them, and there's been no general call to arms. Most of it seems to happen when one particular voter is home from work, but these runs have been different, with slow crawls of a vote at a time, fairly regularly spaced, running nonstop. I assume it's to be able to say they're not cheating by voting like they used to, but if it were truly individual votes they wouldn't be so evenly spaced...

Hmmm, so they have a secret weapon, and so do we. But we don't know if both sides are using the same technique because there are so many ways to cheat.

The best way to level the playing field might be to openly discuss the details of the cheats, so everyone can use them. At one point, some were saying that Flyvote was a cheat.

Hmmm, about 70 people a day are reading this thread. If all of them voted, that would be about 700 votes a day. But not all do, and in some cases, people are visiting the thread more than once a day.

Just an observation.

I do Stop by more than once per day, so unfortunately that means less than 70 checking in. Oh well.

I suspect some voters are frustrated by the "Titans", who seem to have tired of the battle. So now it's back the the normal pattern of Firefly pulling ahead during the day and Jericho catching up in jumps at night. Because of that we need the "real" voters more than ever

I'm curious to see what happens late tonight. I suspect the couple of "creative" Jericho fans are waiting to jump their total by a couple hundred, as they've been doing most Sunday nights recently just before the weekly "reset"...
