Haken and ffying2:

First, I don't care if I'm the last guy here, I ain't leaving FFFn for some johnny-come-lately, even if JW/TM/CB or the whole cast dance nude at the site (well, c'mon, let's be realistic). This is where I post.

Second, though, please do let us know when the official fan-centric site comes out. I still think they oughtta just buy Haken out, or hire him to do it from right here. They could even just register whatever domain name they like against FFFn's numeric IP address, or otherwise transfer the complete contents to new digs.

The OB is a hopeless mess. You've gotta root like an old sow to find an edible morsel over there. Haken's got his sh*t together. He's created an organizational system that allows people to stay (pretty much) on topic, and minimizes the one word -- zing, bump, ding -- replies and other moronic cr*p that just infiltrates every thread on the OB.

To reiterate, I'm a Firefly fan, so I'll visit an official ME site; but my loyalties lie with Haken, so I'm only gonna post here. Period. The best case scenario would be Haken getting some props from ME and getting the job of webmastering their site (for however long that would last).

Just my two pence worth...

Hear, Hear... I agree... I think it would be much better if they used an already established fan site for their weblog.

Haken has the best one going that I've ever seen. Both visually and from an organized stand point.

Here's hoping Mr. Buchanan, or someone else on the project see's this site, and this thread, and gives it some serious thought.

I would like to see an official site, especially if it has a blog and pics. It would be great to see how our BDM & BDHs are doing, and see some of the cast post that normally don't do so, even at the OB. I would visit to see what the latest news might be and post on threads of interest. An official movie site might also help generate interest in the uninitiated who are just checking out movie sites online.

That being said, I am in agreement w/ Zoid that Fireflyfans.net is home for me. I post here the most frequently, though on occasion I do post at the OB when I see a thread of interest and at Fireflymovie.com, but not so much there.

I don't think it needs to be reiterated that the OB can be difficult to navigate at times and sorting the wheat from the chaff can be tedious, as it has been said many times by many people. I stay here because navigation is easy and we get info as quickly as the OB. FFF.net just feels like home to me.

Don't quote me on this but, I thought I read on the OB that Chris might post photos of the cast and crew working on the BDM here on this site. Might be that he(Chris) already has a plan for having some sort of progress blog on FFF.net. Or, I could be way off base...it wouldn't be the first time.

I'm not too sure. Nothing was mentioned to me about it. But if that was to happen, I'll definately make things a lot easier for him by building him a spanking new menu driven interface that'll make posting an entry real simple.

He did say he would try to post a picture of the unveiling of Flyhead's big damn banner, and suggested that he would try posting it here.

Please help Haken keep this site running by occasionally clicking on some of the sponsored ad links on the side of the page!
