It has been cold here in Milwaukee. We just got our first Summer thunderstorm with a tornado sighting yesterday. So I expect Summer heat will follow.

Shiny new thread! Yeah, it was pouring rain when I woke up this morning at 8:30. And it ain't warmed up overmuch since then. Perfect weather for wearing a browncoat, though. (Although my new coat's perfect for just about any weather as long as it doesn't get drenched - even promises to be comfortable during the D*C parade. )

Ahhhh, the joys of New England in the Summer?

Third day of my new part time job. Last week I got sunburn. Today... Drenched.

And as the Newbie, guess who didn't have rain gear yet?

My spectacular Supervisor, Kellen. Drove over two hours round trip from the clients office to the company office and then to the job site to fetch me some rain gear.

Now if it rains tomorrow, I wont get soaked.

Today... It rained in the morning and the sun came out in the afternoon. Of course I dressed for cold and wet so I didn't have my sunglasses or sunscreen today.

You know what that means...

Yep, another sunburn.....

My face primarily this time since I had a long sleeved shirt.

Oh well. At least I don't work again until next Tuesday.

I think it's just that New England has a different name for summer. Up here, we call it 'Construction'.

Come to think of it, New England's entire seasonal cycle is named differently: Mud, Construction, Foliage, and Ski. Briglad and Rallem, a little backup here?

Well first you take a left at the light. Go about a quarter mile till you come to the big rooster. Don't turn there. The road you want is two stop signs and a yield after that. Turn left there and it's another left and a right and then the middle fork. That'll get you back on the county road and from there you just follow the signs.

If it rains on either or both nights of CSTS, Mother Nature is getting a really, really nasty letter. Not that we don't need the rain, but seeing that it half-ruined the Shindig this weekend....bah. Suddenly the thread title is getting appropriate again (he said as he dived in with a new subject).

Gah, I can't wait to get a new monitor - I've had this bleedin' thing since college. It's practically an artifact! :P Sounds like it's going to explode on me at any second.

Vegemite sound like something you would get in a "K"-ration during WWII. They were so well preserved that they continued to serve them into the Vietnam War. Can you imagine eating something that is twenty years old.

It's essentially really, really, really salty pork. So not horrendously bad unless you have high blood pressure or something. I once tried to figure out what spam stood for and the closest I got was Salt Poured over Anonymous Meat.
