Hey guys im looking for a band that has the sound similar to Metallica's Ride the Lightning or Godsmack... so far im unsuccessful in finding anything. Can anyone suggest something?

If you're just looking for some old-school heavy-metal there are lots of bands out there: megadeath, slayer, anthrax, pantera, gwar or black sabath (one of Metallicas big influences) to name a brief few. I like the the Dethclok album (from the spoof cartoon Metalocalypse) too, a funny omage to the genre (good metal, tho).
