i noticed while watching Dr.Horrible that his death ray in the last episode looks just like the alliance's Sonic Rifle from "Ariel". it is upside down and got some lights and stuff stuck on, and it is a different colour, but it's definatly the one. has anyone else noticed anything like this? when film-makers re-use old props with a flashy new look?

Dr. Horrible's coat was a reuse of Simon's lab coat from Ariel.

i have noticed this quite a few times...
but the one standing out in my mind is this:

in the most recent Christmas episode, the work house where the kids are being sent to, is infact the Torchwood Hub Set re-dressed to look like a Victorian factory.
I immediately thought so when i first saw it, and it was confirmed in the Confidential for that episode.

What always stands out in my mind is the Bradbury Building in Los Angeles. It has been used in more then 20 films and TV shows.

It is especialy liked in Film Noir. Seen in films like Double Indemnity, Chinatown, D.O.A., and Blade Runner. You can't miss the interior with all its iron railings and open elevator.

The best is the Millenium Falcon upright as a building in Blade Runner.

You almost get the feeling that the creaters of Blade Runner were paying tribute to these other films.

I always wondered about the name of the building in the film, The Bradbury. I thought they were paying tribute to Ray Bradbury, but that appears to be the true name of the building.

Next time I watch Blade Runner I will look for the Falcon. Probably looks different standing on end.
