Iowa shout outs by Jane Espenson

I'm an Iowa boy, born and raised, and I have to say I love seeing shout outs to my home state on TV. Seriously, we don't have much. We have Ashton Kutcher, Elijah Wood, Tom Arnold, and the Field of Dreams. Love 'em or hate 'em, that's what we have. But we also have Jane Espenson.

I have to say I love Jane's writing. It seems Jane tries to mention Iowa somehow or another in everything she's involved with. I can't be imagining it. Riley Finn from Buffy was from Iowa. Mellie on Dollhouse was too. And an episode of Warehouse 13 took place there. Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head, but there could be more.

I just think that's awesome, and felt like sharing.
