BRIGLAD

Mornin all...

Today is a good day. Sold the old T-Bird that blew up right after I bought it (I think Bester was workin on it) and this puts me within reach of being able to drive to the NEB Shindig in my own car next Saturday!!!

Car I'm buying defiantly has the Kaylee touch. A little rough around the edges but she'll fool you.

Got a sweet engine she has. Best ride you'll have tween here and Boro.... Uh, New Hampshire.

I even got some Serenity and Blue Sun stickers from Artcat to put on 'er.

What a weekend, we suck at cricket, my vocalist has just left the band...Bengals TE are dropping like flies at training camp (it's the hard knocks jinx I tell you!).

Going to drink beer, watch watchmen and feel like shite tomorrow at work as up too late now but fuck it, thoroughly fed up right now and not even the prospect of playing football is picking me up.

The vocalist before this one was female but she didn't work out either.

Just hard to find someone who will put the work in an who can actually sing rather than recoil in horror at the idea of practice.

It also doesn't help that we're a progressive metal band looking for a melodic vocalist. A lot of people hear the word metal and go to a certain shouting/growl place, which is not what we are trying to do but equally there is not point in dressing us up as something else. We are heavy, but in a melodic rather than a wall of noise way.

Anyway, good morning all, feeling better today as just needed some time to digest crappy news although football has been canceled tonight, grrrr, was looking forward to that but I guess I get another week of lifting in before I play so I'll chose to look at it as a bonus as less likely to injure myself.

Must get on, lots to do this week.

Better luck next hunt. Have you tried any college students in the musical theather/vocal performance programs around you? Actually if you started trolling the music programs you might find a twofer! I'd say try opera because they'll be able to pull it off without killing their voices, but they can be a bit focused on... well.. opera.

One of my mother's bands went through a couple of drummers and a bassist or three along the way.
