MANWITHPEZ

Important people don't do field work.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Wash's dinosaurs, besides being hilarhious and a little insight into the character, are a sly nod to Joss Whedon's work on Toy Story?

Then again, it probably is just me.

Kaylee: "What's so damn important about being proper? It don't mean nothing out here in the black."
Simon: "It means more out here. It's all I have..."

prolly just a coincidence. Wash's dinosaurs were more "Land Before Time" and "Land of the Lost" than Rex from Toy Story.

interesting theory though. never even thought about that possibility

I don't know about that. How often does anything happen by coincidence in the Joss 'verse? I'd be inclined to think that it's probably an intentional reference to Toy Story.

It just struck me as odd that he plays with them in one episode. The first one. What was supposed to be he character building one. And then, they're gone. But River sayng something like : "They forgot how to be dinosaurs." and Wash saying something like "I'd never let em'"

Heh. I kill me sometimes. For real, somebody better call somebody.

GUNRUNNER

They were in another episode manwithpez but Wash wasn't playing with them. In Bushwhacked the Alliance troops thow them on the bunk. There are some that fall out of a box (I think) and this one that looks like Godzilia the trooper thows on the bed.

Ofcourse Joss didn't get much of a chance to bring the Dinos back...
