Sad because I wasn't there to experience the original upsurge of love for this show, sad because I missed out on the community. Sad for a lot of reasons, but none greater than the fact that this show will never have another episode.

You have to pay attention. You have to appreciate all the detail that went in, the complete ground-up creation of an entire culture, the style of language and speaking. So much detail, from the carefully crafted sets to the intricate design of a single prop only seen for a half-second shot. Then there is the cast synergy, the real human stories and on and on. I found myself re-watching Serenity, seeing it in an entirely new light now that I loved the show. This made me even sadder, but it's a bittersweet kind of sadness you want to experience again. You don't want to let this show go. I see clearly why there are so many attempts to preserve or continue "The 'Verse". It's attachment, emotional attachment.
