Am I the only one who fantasizes about living on Serenity? I don’t just mean living on a spaceship fantasies, I mean thinking about getting the blueprints to the set and rebuilding it piece by piece as a house. If people can do it for some of the sets from Star Trek why not for Firefly?

The cargo by would be your garage. If you wanted to go all out you could build the whole thing (not just the interior set) and make it look like serenity had landed on your plot.

FLYINFREE

I think that might be a little over the top, but an high quality and accurate model would be shiny (shelf sized not house sized).

"...we're still flyin'."
"That's not much."
"It's enough." Malcolm Reynolds and Simon Tam - Serenity

Oddly enough, my sister had that same idea. If you ever did it, I'm sure she'd want to help somehow.

"Is there blubber?"

My husband and I had the same idea. When we win the lottery we are going to build a full size replica in the back garden!

When Something, that's the title of my book, becomes the second best selling book in history (the Bible has the top spot nailed) I'm going to do it.

DOUBLESHINY

I'm trying to convince my workmates to help me convert our edit suite into a version of the Serenity cockpit, but so far, no dice.

Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

A house that looks like Serenity? That might be a bit over the top for me, but I would not mind having a clubhouse out back for my kids done up like a scaled down version of our beloved ship.

Forget the phrase "over the top," CAUSE THERE IS NO TOP TO GO OVER!! I want a Serenity house now!

When I was growing up, I used to draw up plans for a clubhouse I wanted to build that had a spaceship floorplan. Never did it, but that was the dream. I'd move into a Serenity home in a minute, and my kids would love it - but somehow I think my wife would object!

EMBERS

there is a show on cable, called 'Extreme Homes'
and many of them are far stranger than a 'Serenity' would be...
I'm not sure about having the garage being the cargo bay, I would worry about exhaust fumes in the house....
But mostly it would be shiney!
I particularly like the bathroom arrangements in the Captain's quarters...would every bedroom have the cool drawer plumbing?

My house is a 125 year old brick victorian overlooking the Mississippi. I'm not allowed to move upon threat of dismemberment. However, I vow at this moment that if I win the lottery, the neighborhood kids will have a large scale Serenity playhouse for the playing in.
