Ni Hao, friends!

For those of you who are unaware, I'm the proprietor of The Browncoat Pub & Theatre in Wilmington, NC ( www.browncoattheatre.com). We're a 100% non-profit drinking and performing arts establishment dedicated to supporting the needs of emerging artists and inspired by our favorite big damn heroes!

We have obtained the rights to produce a full scale live theatrical production of "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" this May at the Browncoat. Proceeds fromt he production will be donated to various charities including Equality Now. If you can make the trip, we'd love to see you all at our little shindig.

Show dates are: May 13-16, 20-23 & 27-30 at 8pm & 9:30pm (3pm & 5pm on Sundays). Tickets are just $10 or $20 if you want to do dinner with us as well.

We're working on a special hotel rate with the Country Inn & Suites and also potentially doing a showing of the Big Damn Movie as part of Can't Stop the Serenity one night as well. More on that as things come together.

Awesome! Dr. Horrible would be perfectly adapted for a theatrical musical. Simple (and few) sets necessary, good story, catchy music.

I hear Whedon is producing Dr.Horrible 2 at some point? Maybe when that comes out the two can be amalgamated into a full length broadway musical. Let's get ourselves a Tony, browncoats.

Can anyone help spread the word on various other message boards? I know there are lots of Browncoats in the Southeast, I just need to know how to reach them.

Any help would be most appreciated.

STOWEAWAY

I've told everybody I could in the Carolinas & Virginia.

Not sure if our whole Browncoat gang will make it, but my family & I will be there Memorial Day weekend. Nothing like a long weekend at the beach capped off by Dr. Horrible. My kids are huge fans.

I'll keep spreading the word far & wide.

I'll have to think of a way to talk the hubby into going. Though, it may just be too inconvenient since we may be moving at that time. :-/

A night out at the theatre to see Dr. Horrible would provide the perfect respite from the stressful chaos of moving. It'll be just what you need, right when you need it.
