What show(s), season(s),and/or movie(s) do you always seem to be watching?

For me these days it's either a Trek TOS episode, Serenity, the new Star Trek movie, or one of the Indy flicks.

What your sickness?

Well gee, take a GUESS!
Hint: Crack is cheaper.

Although, having filled out the list mostly, only two items remain on it, and one will not be released till the end of the month, which is good cause the budget is a little tight.

And yet, I am torn between Planetes, which I still haven't found a good enough deal on, and both seasons of Jericho for a do-or-die, now-or-never price, hmmm.

Might still do both and hold out a while for Hell Girl:Season Two, since the last pre-order I made, got shipped THREE DAYS after the folks who ordered it the night it was released, and not for much of a discount neither, grrrr.

Currently plowing my way through Lucky Star, Konata reminds me of Byte, sometimes, lmao.

Buffy. I don't know why, but if it's on the air, I feel like I *HAVE* to be watching it, just to boost its ratings. It's on LOGO now, and Monday and Friday they do mini-marathons, and then it also airs at 5:00pm Central Tuesday through Thursday.

It's funny, because I've already got all seven seasons on DVD, but I find myself watching it on TV just because I can. And I always hope it's finding a new audience.

Always watch it, everytime it's on SyFy. AND I own the entire series on DVD, but that don't matter. When it's on, there's nothing good enough to compare to it, so I watch it.

For me there are a couple of shows.

Castle being the main one.
I told a mate about it and he wanted to watch it so I told him he'd have to wait till season 2 was over. That didn't happen and we watched season 1, finishing it last. I told myself I wouldn't rewatch season 2 until it was done. Monday I caved and we watched the first two episodes.
So much for my resolve.

The others are QI, Mock The Week and Top Gear that are endlessly repeated on Dave here in the UK. Even if I've seen them I find myself watching them again and again. Usually at a time when I should be sleeping.

With films I'm a bit pickier and like to leave a decent amount of time between viewings. But the go-to ones are usually anything by Pixar, Kevin Smith, Coen Brothers and Shaun Of The Dead or Hot Fuzz. The Die Hard trilogy or Lethal Weapons usually get a good run out as well.

In terms of Shows:

Buffy - I can just stick any season on an find a number of episode I'm willing to re-watch. And actually Big 'C' you'll be happy to know I'm even giving season six another go. Presently I'm up to disc 4...I still don't like it much. But I'm trying...

Northern Exposure - Up to season four I can pretty much watch everything. After that I will filter the odd one here and there....

Moives
-----
Well SERENITY. Frequently watch City Of The Lost Children, Tron, Big Trouble in Little China, Raiders and then I will raid 50's sci-fi. The Thing, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Creature from the Black Lagoon etc... Ray Harryhausen films, and Hitchcock in the 50's & 60's: Rear Window, North By Northwest, The Birds, Vertigo and so on. Finally: The Marx Brothers- I think their films I've re-watched more than any other.

Oh yeah, seasons six & seven get a heavy workout hereabouts. But Wife & Sonisall are not fans, so I end up watching them a bit less than I would otherwise... seasons 3 & 4 less, seasons 1, 2 & 5 even less so. It's like Dark Angel, my most watched ep is the last one- I like endgames.

For me it's Law and Order SVU, criminal minds and two and a half men. Not so much because I want to, though I do like SVU, but because my mom and sister control the TV.

I watched serenity on DVD 3 times over the past week though, so I guess our BDM is still one of those films I can watch endlessly and never tire of.

Well, it's complicated...

But yeah, she's a basically decent kid, more decent than me anyways, but I tellya sometimes it gets into STOP HELPING MEEE!!! cause of that whole eager-but-unskilled bit.

Oh yes, and she's picked up calling me Captain Caveman when I start playin rough - I blame Alice for that one, where else would she have learned it?

She also gets away with a LOT more than she should, since due to former circumstances she has perfect pitch hearing and can duplicate many of the voice actors from my Anime collection - which amounts to her snarking their commentary at me, in their voice, and making me laugh.

Planetes was well worth the $20 (eBay). The first couple of episodes feel a little cheesy, but it gets real good.

Besides the Whedon product I seem to always be doing, I watch Cowboy Bebop, Galaxy Quest every year, Fifth Element, and CofRiddick (the art direction is awesome).

I think Joss must have seen Cowboy Bebop. Maybe someday I'll get to ask him.

Trying to find a good price on Deadwood so I can watch it again.

Big Bang Theory its on 3 times a week on 2 stations. also Inspector Rex repeats. the only other shows worth watching on Australian free to air TV at the moment are Bones, Castle, and the Mentalist. I don't like the latest episodes of Dr Who. am waiting patiently for the ABC to put on decent stuff again.
I have 3 seasons of Homicide: Life on the Street but am saving them up for when I go to my next clinical placement....Of course I'm also taking Firefly for company.

(and this one qualifies, cause I've been looping it, and other of her work all morning.)

Heard a singer recently which caught my attention, even though as a general rule I find commercial music repulsive, just something about the upbeat voice and delivery struck a chord with me.

And a couple folks had some fun with me over it.
But seriously, imma need to get my hands on a couple of this Hatsune Miku chicks albums, right ?

Oh, by the way, and the reason some folk were snickering at me over it - I was unaware she's an A.I. - not that this changes my opinion any.

It was her rendition of Go My Way that pulled me in, cause she does it while homaging JAM's "Little Wing" (the intro theme from Scrapped Princess) in her delivery, and whatever mojo she slapped on it, it stuck!

Think I jest ?

Watching Drive In and Dives right now. I love the show and hate the background music. It irritates me.

Let me see:

Castle, Chopped, Good Eats, Iron Chef, Caprica, True Blood, Firefly, and Serenity of course.

I just got "Hamlet" with David Tennant and Sir Patrick Stewart (saw it on PBS) and I think it'll go into heavy rotation soon despite the 3 hour length.

I just finished a Stephen Moyer fest (Lillies, The Grande, Uprising, NY-LON etc) and they will join my Nathan Fillion collection.

And late night during the week it's Nightline and then (if I'm awake) Craig Ferguson. The guy makes me laugh.

When I got the DVD of Steve McQueen's Le Mans, I ran it on 'Loop' for about 2 weeks, and wore out my player!

Thanks for that info, but I doubt I'll be buying another DVD of Avatar just for that. I do feel a bit cheated that they didn't give any extras on the DVD I bought, but then again, no one forced me to buy this no-frills disc. I'm sure it will be interesting for those who do buy it to see those additional 40 minutes. I'll just wait for the sequel in a few years, which hopefully will be preceded by a great new Star Trek movie.
