I read the preview of the new Wash comic with some interest today..

Always ready with a brilliant aerial maneuver and a terrible one-liner, Wash was pilot of the Firefly-class ship Serenity in Joss Whedon's cult-classic TV series before being killed in the movie. Float Out includes three brand-new stories of Wash in a series of exciting smuggling raids, each providing a hair-raising escape or daring last-minute rescue! Featuring a cameo that will leave Serenity fans reeling, this special one-shot presents new tales of the Serenity universe's past and tantalizing hints about its future!

Tantalizing hints about its FUTURE??

What future? I thought we were suppose to give up on a future...

What does this mean?

Are we being teased here?

Im assuming these comics are canon and Joss would have had to sign off on everything...so Im very interested in how they’ve managed to get my hopes up again.

Can anyone enlighten me??

Yeah, this comic takes place after the movie, so we have a chance to see a glimpse of what has happened since and what might happen next. :)

It's not the regular characters, unless the cameo is someone well known. And it might be, since it's supposed to be a surprise, wouldn't be unless it was someone we know.

>_> I speculate it's either the operative or Zoe. There's a tiny, TINY chance that the cameo is Wash's clone/brother or even himself, somehow revived but amnesiac. Makes me want to bet on the long shot because no one really would see that coming.
