Really like Ruffalo actually. Not 100% convinced about him as Hulk, but as an actor, he's amazing.
I trust him to convince me, if he's given the opportunity.

Agreed. Enjoyed his other work, and while I can't envision him as the Hulk right now, I have no doubt that he can pull off the role of Banner if given a good script and decent director.

ZEEK

Never heard of him and Marvel's press release said they were looking for a "name actor" to replace him. If I've never heard this guy's name before I don't see how that fits.

The first rumor I heard was for that Phoenix guy. I thought he retired from acting though. I don't know if I want someone flakey on the project. That's the last thing we need ruining Joss's shot at the big time.

I'm actually really loving this idea...I hope that the deal is inked soon.

Ruffalo has been great in everything that I've seen him in. Eternal Sunshine and Just Like Heaven are some particularly memorable roles , but there are many others. Zodiac , as one lesser-known example ; great film.

He's a very versatile and talented actor , and I think that his take on Bruce Banner will really inform the character , given sufficient exposure in the script and on the screen.

I thought it was the opposite? I thought they were looking for a no-name actor and I HAVE heard of him, so I wasn't sure how that fits.

But really Zeek, the guy is good.

Dude co-starred in Shutter Island, Zodiac, and 13 Going on 30 amongst others. Hardly an unknown just because you are unaware of him. They were never going to get a huge name for a small role in an ensemble cast.
