Granted, I don't have HBO or Showtime, and Breaking Bad is over for now, but there's still Mad Men and Rubicon on tonight! :)

I don't have to work tomorrow, but...

I'm in the middle of moving, so my soon to be ex-house is empty of all but

my laptop with internet thank god
a paperback I've read before
a sleeping bag on the floor
a bunch of cleaning supplies and dirty surfaces

and I don't get into my new apartment for two weeks, which means I won't see all my stuff until then.

Did someone mention shot of tequila? Oh right. I have no shot glass. Or tequila.

I have a menu of self amusement options that I refer to on any day I get tetchy or bored e.g. sunday nights when there's nothing better than Castle re-runs on TV. Sunday nights are good for skyping people you don't usually get to talk to or see...maybe have regular skpe or IM dates? What about baking, that always fills in time. I'm a horder of stuff. when I'm "tidying" I put things in boxes or bags to sort out at a later date. Sunday nights are good times to try and sort the stuff or make myself get rid of it...or transfer it into another box or bag as if putting it with similar stuff makes it better. playing dress ups with my good clothes and shoes is always fun
there's always blogging or journal writing...where I can ponder the whyfors and where hows about my life E.g. why do I own so many party dresses and high heeled shoes considering I live in jeans, shirts, jackets and boots/sneakers.
here's an idea: On Sundays challenge yourself to become a master of self amusement.

PS I'm sure your cat would love you even if someone else fed him.

Reasons Sunday Doesn't Suck

Tomorrow is Monday! YAY I have a job!

My day doesn't drag because I catch up with emails, skyping and playing with our dogs and grooming our horses. I also take a nap. ;)
Night time comes early, because farm mornings start early and the sunrise this morning was pink and glorious!

I get to go to work on Mondays and make money so I can afford to go to the John Mayer concert September 3rd in Tulsa, OK.

I didn't win the lottery either, but I didn't think I would. ;) So I saved money back in my mad money folder - so I have a little bit for a rainy day.

I couldn't go to the movies either, we had too much family stuff going on, and I really wanted to see Inception, BUT...there's DVD thank goodness. I have patience.

Yup, Monday starts the week. Another week to live!

My hot date Saturday night was with my husband of 25 years who is interminably quiet so I'm often left alone with my own thoughts, til we turn on the radio on the way to eat out and Lake Woebegone is on and we're laughing.

Pie beats tequila every time! Especially pecan pie. ;)

My cats only love me for feeding them too, until they come sit with me on the couch when I'm sick, just sit, keep me company. They also sleep on my feet and keep them warm. They also make me laugh with their antics and fun. They calm me when I'm mad and sometimes I cry when I'm faced with the loss of my oldest cat. So I love them...I guess that's enough for all of us.

Yup, today is Monday and it's a wonderful day!

( I guess you could say I'm a glass half full sort of gal. )

Meh, Sundays...

They are OK 'cause I'm re-watching SG-1 from the beginning on the THIS channel and they run a couple of 'em so's I can unwind from a hectic weekend...

Sunday's suck in Indiana 'cause of no alcohol sales on Sabbath, which I think they are tryin to change. Not much of a problem at our house, we are usually stocked... Tried Smirnoff cran & lime the other day, not too shabby!

wish i had the patience to do quilting...I made one for my goddaughter and it wasn't that complex but I got toey doing it. One of my fave possessions is the hand sewn quilt my ex housemates mum made me for my 30th birthday. it has a garden theme. I love it. Mind you I will happily felt, bang away on a piece of leather or do wirework for hours so I'm sure it's all the fiddly sewing that gets me.
I know our cat loves me coz he keeps trying to break into my room when i am studying in it...and i'm not the one tht feeds him. he's not even my cat but for some reason thinks I'm the pack leader E.g. he'll only come when I call him or come and crouch at my feet when he's done something bad.

ha ha...My cat never intends to do bad things, his impulses just get the better of him and he has to follow through. Then he'll come to me and do the submisive thing before whatever he's done is discovered, and usually take me to where he's broken or trashed something. Then It's my job to cover up the problem befor my crazed Sicilian parents find out and shout at him (the standard Sicilian way for dealing with everything). If he's being overtly naughty and jumping on tables etc just to get a rise out of either of the oldies, he'll ignore their requests for him to stop but if I go over to him he immediately lies down stomach up and paws out. It annoys my dad to the max because it challenges his role as the household alpha.
