You send them cakes, you go visit them, make posters of them, help sell DVDs of them.
And let's face it.. You worship the ground they walk on.
So, how far would you go for the show? (:
Would you donate money?
Would you donate a kidney?
Rob a bank?
Hijack a plane?
Go wild!

I'm a big enough fan to admit that, yes...I'd donate your kidney.

I'd build them a real Firefly Class spaceship

For Firefly - yeah, rob a bank sounds pretty good to me. And converting people in some mean and unusual ways
And now about how far will I go for Serenity - as far as I need. Actually, I would go all the way to the US if the movie won't come to Israel. It's pretty far, isn't it ?

What have you people already done in the past for the show?
I know the cakes stuff.
You guys are pretty dedicated to them.

Bought the DVDs, T-Shirts and, as stated before, I keep coming back to this board. Will prob go see the movie a few times while it's in the theatre, and then buy that too once it goes to DVD. Oh, might attend a meet up too, if one is available.

One of the browncoats was making a batch of 'em back last winter. They came out damn nice. There is also a site on the internet that was selling them. You could put the Blue Sun logo on just about anything: shirts, sweats, coffee mugs.....but alas, I no longer have that info. Someone on the board might though...

There are great T-shirts (and other stuff) here:
http://www.cafeshops.com/faded/209176
but yeah, I like to get iron on transfers and make my own Blue Sun & other T-shirts

And how far would I go? I have not officially bought 10 sets of DVDs...
everyone I know has been getting them,
for birthdays
wedding gifts
house warming gifts
thank you gifts...

because I want everyone I know to be fans
BEFORE the BDM is released in April!
Then I will travel where ever I need to in order to be first in line!

ROFLMAO!!!

I'll keep that in mind.

I have been around a while now. I took part in the post card campaign, the Browncoat Coat Drive, made donations of time and money, and have been converting like there is no tomorrow. I would do anything short of robbing a bank for Firefly. (I just don't think prison clothes are all that flattering )

Ah, the sacrifices you make for Firefly.

So, since you are willing to take on the task of sleeping with Nathen I guess it is only fair I offer to sleep with Adam Baldwin. For the sake of the show.

Now, how does this help the show again???? Oh wait, don't tell me...I'm sure I don't want to know...LOL

Well, I'll buy extra dvd sets to give to friends, Invite as many friends and family to see the movie opening weekend as will come, and visit this chatroom and give praise to a very talented cast and crew. When Firefly was first canceled I sent fox a email for my idea of a new reality series. Executive hunting. The person who gets the most kills gets to set the next years tv schedual.

Since you and Malicious are undertaking the task of sleeping with Adam and Nathan, I'll do my duty and take Sean. (pun intended) Of course, only for the sake of the show mind you. It'll be hard work but someone has GOT to do it...

You have to keep in mind that we are not the only browncoat home on the net. As a big ole family, there have been postcard campaigns and shindigs everywhere. When Serenity began filming, the browncoats gave them a shiny banner. There are lots of folks that make really cool things like Jayne hats and t-shirts. of course all of us have the dvds and get the word out to the population.

It's not just a great show. There are some likeable people involved. Joss and the ME gang have been very nice to us. They keep us informed of events. The cast is incredible! Most of them have stopped by the boards to say "hi" and talk a bit. Adam is huge on the OB. It's easy to get so pumped up about a show when the cast and crew are friendly people. Mean actors can ruin a good thing.

I would not rob a bank. Is there something in particular you need us to do? I can't say no until I know. Most times I say yes.

Well, if it would help raise ratings and therefore make meeelions of daaaaawlors, I would sleep with him on network television. OR, perhaps a pay-per-view on HBO? As I said, anything for the cause.

MANWITHPEZ

Important people don't do field work.

I don't know...I'd pay $45 for a DVD box set and $7 for a movie ticket. That's not terribly interesting, is it? Oh wait, I know...I'd trade in my ratty, terribly overused box set for a brand new, shiny one to make ratty and terribly overused. I might consider trading a pez dispenser for a movie ticket. But one of the several I have two of. That's about it.

All right, I'd pimp smack my own mother if she got in the way of the tv. I'd drop kick my father if he was in my way in line. I'd hire a fireloving midget to take down Fox once and for all. I'd...I'd...go to a fan site and incessantly write bad fanfic! I WIN!!!

Let's see, Nathan, Adam and Sean are taken so I guess that leaves me with Alan, darn (YES!).
I would spend hours and hours watching the show with each new person that I got interested. But more importantly, I will probably see all showings of the BDM for at least the first week and stand in line on the first day, all day, even if I am the only one there with a sign that says, "Line for Serenity starts here" or something similar.

I missed all the good stuff.
I preordered the DVD set on Amazon to get the numbers up real high. (Show TPTB there was ALOT of interest in the show.) Then of course, I bought a set.
There have been a few Scapers thinking that when the movie comes out they should buy one ticket for themselves and one for.. um... an invisible friend shall we say... More tickest sold, higher box office numbers. All good.
I've converted a few Scapers into Firefly fans. Um, do you all have a word for converting a person to a firefly fan? When we convert someone, we Scape em. Can't really call it 'browncoating' someone... that just sounds... ew. LOL.
Just wondering.
What would I do? Don't know. Ask me to do something and we will see.

How far would I go for Firefly?

I'd let Firefly get me drunk and have its way with me.

Wait, what am I saying? I don't need to get drunk first...

Okay, I got it... I'd paint Firefly's house, or wash Firefly's car for a year, or feed Firefly's cats when it went on vacation, or bring Firefly breakfast in bed dressed as yeoman Janice Rand (complete with basket weave mod hair-do)...

Or, I'd keep making a whole lotta art for Firefly out of obsessive, (safe) crazy love...
