All members of Classic Black are huge fans of Firefly. This is a song of their style inspired by Captain Malcolm Reynolds. Enjoy.

We're having fun lip-syncing the lyrics to Firefly like we're drunken headbangers:

I'm making a living.
Got to lighten my load.
Staying Independent is the way I roll.

Just nobody but me and my crew.
Being alive means breaking the rules.
Oh, Yeah!

If we struggle, staying alive,
climb aboard my Firefly!
I'm your Captain,
and I'm your friend.
Serenity 'til the end....
Let the journey begin.

Ship is fine.
I'm getting paid.
Oh yeah brother, it's a hell of a day.

Floating through space in the midnight sky.
Keep space trucking 'til the day I die.
Oh, Yeah!
Oh, Yeah!
'Til the day I die....

If we struggle, staying alive,
climb aboard my Firefly!
I'm your Captain.
And I'm your friend.
Serenity 'til the end....
Let the journey begin.

I did my research. If I had to opine what music influenced this, I'd say Metallica's Kill 'Em All album from 1983. Perhaps "The Four Horsemen" track. "This album may cause uncontrollable fits of energy, headbanging, and moshing. Keep out of reach of children." Should you want to compare Classic Black's Firefly music with Metallica, there are Metallica samples at www.amazon.com/Kill-Em-All-Metallica/dp/B000002H5E/
