I really want to understand your fascination with those "shows & movies" you have... they are so filled with violence... how can you feel good going to sleep at night after letting them into your psyche?

Me:
Dude, it's like history, okay? Plus- they're just fun to watch!

Dude:
No, 'fun' is making love, or swimming in the parts of the ocean that aren't toxic. Watching people kill each other on archival viewey isn't 'fun'!

Me:

Look, just sample a Firefly episode and see; it's really cool.

Dude:
I've seen that old series with all those puppets-

No! That's Farscape! I mean the one with the whole anti-government-mind & life control message...

Dude:
I just have to ask you, where's that get fun? I mean, we aren't THERE anymore! We have a world where we have both less and more than ever. Less population, and more egalitarianism. Those old vids just potentially pollute our minds.

Me:
Nothing. Look, call me retro, but I enjoy the pre-CGmator flicks that used REAL actors in situations that involved rebelling against injustice & corporate-government manipulation.

Dude:
Okay, but what about that cadre of fragile semi-toxic outgassing plastic replics you constantly tout in your blogzines?

Me:
You must wonder where I get all those wonderful toys from.

Dude:
