I remember one time I won some like lottery or raffle style drawing at my school. They brought me to the principle's office to pick out a prize and he had like a drawer with different stuff in it. I picked out this big set of markers. That thing was so awesome. It had like 40 different colors. I even parlayed that on to winning an Easter coloring contest at our local grocery store. Got a stuffed animal out of it. Those markers were awesome.

Hey Whim. You're lucky it is just your avatar. My Anti-virus software was screaming at me that I was at risk, but nothing I did got rid of the warning and my computer functioned just fine. Three days later it just stopped and now everything is a green light. Never knew what set the alarms off or why they stopped. Maybe the CIA was snooping around or I should quit that job transfering funds from the India to Argentina.

Since we're talking tv shows here: Is anyone watching "Hawaii Five-0?" Because I've got a ton of questions that maybe those not living in Hawaii can answer for me. (Because honestly, I'm pretty sure that most of my local friends who watch the show are either groaning and throwing things at the the tv or ROTFLOL. I mean, that show's pretty much a seriously hour-long comedy where I live...and it's nice that the show's here, but when did all of Honolulu pretty much end up in Waikiki?)

I'll give you Old Yeller as sad, but Benji.

My first stuffed animal was Smokey the Bear. His hat didn't last long, but I had him for years. I like the new adds where he steps on a cigarette. Adds a non-smoking message with his prevent fires image.

That reminds me I need to keep up with my Christmas films.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn will most likely be the next to watch on my list. This is also sad, so no stuffed Irishmen or trees.

LOL
Stupid question -- do "all" shorelines have screaming seabirds at 'em?
Because my friends and I keep wondering "WTF is with those non-existant birds?" (We have birds, we don't have seabirds that do all that noise...)

As for the "small group of islands" -- I'm still waiting to see them film another island. (I do give them credit for trying to make it look like other locations...)

P.S. Spike fans should watch the 1st episode. James Marsters is the lead bad guy in the episode. I think that Hollywood likes his UK-type accent.

Y'know, now I'm not sure if I should be flattered that the island looks like the mainland, or if I should be insulted completely.
It is filmed on Oahu...Most of the "wilderness" shots are probably at Kualoa Ranch on the windward side of the island, but the in-town shots are shot in town....my friends and I could show most folks where various scenes were shot in town as a tour if you like. 'Course the "wooded" drive and "Kauai" shots in this week's episode were mainly at Pali Lookout area, and Aloha Tower Marketplace was also the Kauai pier...
Oh...and random, funny trivia. The original Five-O supposedly had its offices in Iolani Palace...the new version has its "offices" (and I still want to know how can the task force get a whole floor to themselves with so much space...this must be an alternate universe Hawaii) across the street at the old Federal Court building.

However I have to say my favorite tv inaccuracies are the ones with teachers. Here's an imponderable for ya. I love the website slickdeals. I always look on there for deals on electronics, movies, games, etc. So, I was getting Forgetting Sarah Marshall on dvd as a gift and found what I think is probably a price mistake. So, I posted it on there. There were quite a few guys (I assume they were guys) posting about how the movie is terrible because you see some brief shots of Jason Segel's penis. Female nudity is way more common in film. What do women think of it? Does it ruin movies for you?

I just don't see the big deal. They put it in there for shock value and it works IMO.
