OK, how many people besides me have been encountering Blue Hands guys in normal life lately?

I first ran into them at the airport - it seems the TSA employees that search luggage wear nice blue gloves now (*insert Twilight Zone theme here).

But the weirdest was yesterday at the San Diego Comic Con - right after leaving the Serenity panel, we dashed off to use the restroom and discovered the convention center cleaning staff all equipped with blue latex gloves as they emptied the trash & cleaned the toilets!

Anybody else, or should I start sleeping with a loaded gun under my pillow at night?

Funny you should mention the blue hands, actually -- just went through the I-895 Harbor Tunnel in Maryland twice today, and noticed that the toll collectors were wearing nice blue gloves. No extendo-rods of humming death were in evidence, though.

Regarding the gun under the pillow and things not ending well.

It's true, keep your gun with a good flashlight IN THE NIGHTSTAND. Or possibly one of the safes with the quicky, work-in-the-dark, push-button locks. And be sure that whatever gun you pick that it's SHINY!

Could you please just make it stranger? Stranger. Odder. Could be weirder. More bizarre. How about uncanny?

I think the guys in the show with the hands of blue got that way naturally from scrubbing toilets with the bloo cleanser in them. Probably screwed up too many times, and as a final chance at redemption, they were sent on the unfavorable quest of capturing and returning the girl who could kill them with her brain.

I think I'd rather scrub the toilets again...with my face. LOL

Or maybe they used that sonic wand on one too many smurfs...

In a random addition to this topic, I went to a showing of "Daddy Day Care" with my summer camp kids today and got a nasty jolt when I realized that one of the blue hands was at a staff meeting with Eddie Murphy. None of the kids knew why this was so disturbing...where's a Browncoat when ya need one?

I work in the healthcare industry and know all about "Hands of Blue". They are simply non-latex gloves. Originally only for people with latex allergies, now used by many people. expect to see them more and more often :)

I love it when they use those blue/purple latex-free gloves when I get chemo ... then I don't smell like a giant condom for the next couple of days.

Honestly, latex transfers smell like nothing else I can think of.
