Expired, forgotten, spoiled rotten.

Hope this isn't a repost, but I didn't see it anywhere else. I don't get the science channel, so I was searching for the intros I heard they were running about the science behind the show. If anyone has any other videos like this, please post them.

I love how he calls Firefly a "hit" show.

Thanks a bunch! Didn't get to see this on the tube (we watch our DVD sets) and was unaware that Dr. Kaku had been brought aboard the good ship.

Will there be more? Will it be like the collected "previouslies?"

It's great to know the thing is still flying and that the ratings weren't too bad. Wonder if it was old or un-tried viewers....

haven't watched 'em yet, but personally, i can't stand that guy....

his series "scifi science" or some such, where he "tried" to replicate various scifi tech with real world physics, he showed a fundamental lacking of knowledge of how these things work "in universe"

Primary example, warp drive, he kept referring to the dilithium crystals powering the warp drive in star trek. WRONG!!! they regulate the power flow of the matter/antimatter reaction. the "fuel" that powers the warp drive is both Anti-matter, and deuterium( a naturally occurring isotope of hydrogen - 2h)
there were similar examples throughout the series.

OK, watched the one posted above, there again, he breezes over the terraforming. now, im not expecting him to go into a full blown lecture about the intricate details, but, ok, we can alter the atmosphere, and the landscape. allright. check.

but no mention of the altering of gravitation, which is clearly mentioned in series, but yes i know, nigh-on impossible in the real world as we understand it today. he futzes the small stuff, and its the details that matter.
