So far there have been 530 responses and over 11,000 page views. More respondents = more page views = more ad revenue = more interest in new content.
Pretty simple idea. I'm trying to get every Browncoat to go to the Science channel and take the poll and be counted. It's great that we all have our homes on the web, but nobody knows our real numbers. Or exact makeup because we are spread out.
Most are 19-45 which is the demo that gets the highest rate for commercial time. We are almost exactly 50/50 M/F!

I am trying to get more celebrities: The Big Bang Theory crew, Trek crew, Star wars crew, and most importantly, Stars from more mainstream shows to get the word out wider than Sci Fi fan sites.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time, Folks. Imagine how many people we would have if that poll had been started in 2002? I think it would be enough to move advertisers to want a piece of us. Studios follow the ad dollars. That's how shows are paid for.
I still think that this poll will grow to astronomical proportions with the right exposure.

As for women being a different species, ask any woman if she thinks the same of men :)
