May have been the losing side, still not convinced it was the wrong one!

Not sure if it was mentioned already but tonight Firefly makes its return to television. The wise folks at the Science Channel are going to run the series starting at 8pm EST. Tonight we'll get to see Serenity and The Train Job. For more information, check out their site ( http://science.discovery.com/tv/firefly/).

Saw the pilot and "The Train Job", then they repeated them for the west coast. Thanks DiscoveryScience!

Make sure as many people as possible watch. I know how Syfy works. They run old shows to see what the ratings are. If they're high enough, they try to resurrect the show.

If we can get Firefly reruns up high enough, Syfy *will* restart the series. Sure, the result might be catnip to your Acapulco gold, but if you're jonesing enough, catnip will do you.

Here's a hook you can use; tell all the Castle fans you know about Firefly. I did at work and a few may be watching.

I've done the same and it has led a few to watch Firefly.
This is so much fun seeing it on tv again.

I don't believe SyFy has anything to do with the Science Channel though. This is Discovery networks that is showing this, not SyFy. SyFy ran Firefly reruns for a long time and never thought to bring the show back and the SyFy person who tweets recently was asked in my stream if there is any plans to bring it back and he answered negatively.

I don't believe anyone has any plans to bring Firefly back. I'm just gonna watch it delightedly where ever they show it. It's perfect just the way it is.

Except it's the Science Channel, not SyFy.
And, apparently, they're screwing with the airing order for the last few episodes...

I think the Science Channel forums mod said that the lineup was being fixed. There are some nice polls in the Firefly section at their forums and cool stories of how to steer the conversation toward Firefly.

Tonight's episode will be Shindig and I have a chat room I use for any Browncoats that want to mingle online while we watch. The link is http://widget.meebo.com/mcr.swf?id=gCzeQzhKan and I'll be in the room during tonight's episode. I am in the Central time zone, just FYI :D

Been enjoying seeing our BDHs on the small screen again. Looking forward to Shindig tonight.
