Incredible discovery of Firefly.....

I just wanted to post this as I am a Norwegian and have been held in the dark for some years-

I watched the movie Serenity a year ago, and loved it. I had no knowledge about the series at that point.
Two days ago, I was searching IMDB for something highly rated in the Sci-fi genre.

Firefly did not come up, but another link led me to it. I was amazed by the high rating. It is not on any of the top listings on IMDB. Maybe IMDB are a member of the Alliance, and wants to shut the Firefly down?

Of course I feel a bit bad, watching it for free and "stealing it" from a torrent-site, because of unavailability in Norway. I am definitely going to buy it now. Hopefully it exists in Blueray. I will have to order it somewhere. It is going to be a reoccurring event to watch this series, and the movie.

This is the most fun and ingenious series made. I do not understand those who took it away. I would love to see more of this. If it was allowed to continue, I believe it would be just as successful as Star Trek. The crew and cast on Serenity is better than what I have seen previously. Colourful.

Well...... I am a fan now. Though a bit late to participate in the fight to make the series continue. But hopefully not.

NEWOLDBROWNCOAT

Welcome to the party! Strawberries over there, the boy with the shimmer wine will be around, and my wife just made some soup and fresh bao.
Rather than IMDB joining the Alliance, we all suspect there's an undercover Browncoat on the staff- Firefly and Serenity keep showing up on the "Quote of the Day" or other trivia questions there.

Thank you,

Sounds like a party. I would happily join in.
It seems like few people in Norway have any knowledge of this series. I will try to spread the word.
My brother is definitely going to see this series.

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome aboard NorwegianFan! Good to have another browncoat amongst us.

FLORALBUNNY

WELCOME #45145 aboard this shiny boat.

I see that part of the official welcome has been made, but we must complete it by offering you a fresh jug of Mudder's Milk, and fitting you with your very own virtual one-size-fits-all Browncoat.
You get a small (very small; we are a trifle crowded with so large a crew) storage unit, a bunk during your sleep shift, and your own plate for the questioning of the buffet.

Pickings are good in the galley. During our last job we relieved the notorious but good-looking Capt. Jack Swallow of a vast cargo of contraband ice-planets, many of which are stored alphabetically by flavor in the bottom of the cooler. Help yourself!

the movie is not the Series. Only the facts have been changed, to irritate the innocent; the names of the actors and characters remain the same

a Region 1 Blu-ray does exist (Blu-ray region 1, is much larger than DVD region 1), and can be ordered from Amazon.com via the home page on this site. I don't recall seeing Norwegian as one of the language options for either soundtrack or sub-titles. If you are not in Blu-ray region 1, perhaps a set for your region might include one or the other
