Keep the Shiny side up

Went to see this film today, and aside from the pretty cute story and really outstanding CGI, Madame G and I noticed what seemed like a bunch of homages to other films. In no particular order, and (I think) without giving too much of the plot away, they were:

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Silverado
Chinatown?
Pirates of the Carribean (all three)
Apocalypse Now
Star Wars
Road Warrior
Any Indiana Jones movie
The Quick and the Dead
A Fist Full of Dollars
For a Few Dollars More
Possibly a nod to Paint Your Wagon

I'm pretty sure there were some we missed, as there was a lot going on at times.

WISHIMAY

Really, REALLY awful movie, just my opinion...Coulda just been that I took my kid(and she can sit through anything and she wanted to leave after 20 minutes) but it was NOT for kids, and my husband and I were bored senseless...
Ran into people who sat next to us at Wally World and THEY agreed it was worse than spaghetti western it was "western in a blender" most of which was mangled...eghhh, indigestion just thinkin about it!

Visually interesting, but that's all I'll give ya on this one...

I liked the movie and the references were great although I have to agree that it isn't really a movie aimed at kids or folks that don't watch westerns.
My only critiscism would be that Priscilla's (Abigail Breslin) role should have been bigger. As one of the main listed stars she didn't seem to be involved enough. Maybe it was jut me.

Back to the references and the only two I can think of that you haven't mentioned are the scene when they ride in silhouette across the setting sun. I can't think of the film it's actually from (The Wild Bunch ???) but it's been copied a few times.
Also in that scene and just before it there is a definite musical nod to The Magnificent Seven.

Can't think of any others without seeing it again and I can't place all of the ones you list.
