Hello out there to all in the 'verse. I've heard about people getting together for Firefly themed parties and the such and was wondering if there were any in the SoCal region. I haven't been able to find anyone interested in one where I am so I thought I'd try elsewhere...like here on the boards.

Are you referring to an opening night party? I suspect that some of us are assuming that the movie will open in L.A., and we'll be down there at the red carpet or some such (or trying to work our connections to get a ticket!). Or were you just thinking of a Shindig some time or other, pre-April 22nd?

I am assuming there will be FF fans, and the opportunity to party with them, at LosCon, which is usually the last weekend in NOvember --check out http://www.loscon.org/loscon/31/

I was refering to something pre-opening night. Some kind of get-together or something like that where fans meet and hang out. (And as a side note I just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum, damn.)

Well, although I don't have any direct knowledge or much of a clue, I'm definitely up for LosCon, personally. I can't think of a reason to leave the upcoming BDM off my list of things to be thankful for.

And let's definitely see what can be put together for the Big Damn Premiere.

And let's add that the Embassies are known for their fondness for parties and social events. . . .

Anyway, I suppose the thing to do to have a FF party in SoCal is to start a thread saying, in effect, "ANYONE IN SOCAL WANT TO HAVE A FF SHINDIG?"

BRUISERSMOM

I am moving back to Los Angeles at the end of August. I've lived there all of my life and might go to the Serenity premier if anyone wants to get together for it. I'd also be interested ina Firefly party if a group of people want to get together.
