Just saw Serenity in Avengers Movie! (POSSIBLE SPOILERS?)

As you know, here in the Philippines, Avengers opened 9 days earlier than in the US. So, since this was a Whedon movie, I was first in line to see it in 3d.

I was pretty sure that I would see some little tidbits of Joss' previous works on it like the interplay of the characters and the easter eggs that I might not expect directly from the comic book world. This one came a little too fast for me that I did not believe what I just saw... I just saw Serenity (the spaceship) somewhere in the movie where somebody was holding up something to Hawkeye. I blinked. twice. It appeared in passing then moved on to something else.

I had to see the movie twice to get confirm what I just saw, but yup it was really Serenity. You have to be watchful to catch it though.

(SPOILERS NOW...) Just remember WASH. :0) That's all. I'm pretty sure you guys are gonna enjoy it.

Maybe It was just me who saw that little thing on screen, hope you guys see it too.

I will certainly now be looking for Serenity! It’s still a few days before it plays in the theaters here, but I’m quiet ready for it!

Hawkeye went on a mission to retrieve this piece that is essential to a plan. The image of this is very Serenity. It happened before a big fight sequence. :o)

I was in Davao City March 12th-31st. My wife and I came to visit her family. I went to the Cinema at Gaisano Mall and was thrilled to see all the lobby cards and such for The Avengers. It set an opening weekend record in the Philippines; over $8.5 million! Shiny indeed!

America loves a winner!

Saw the movie on Fri ( 4th ), but didn't know to look for Serenity. Still not sure which part of the movie ya mean, but as I only stayed for the 1st post movie scene in the credits, I'll have to go again... I suppose.

There were ( in my mind ) a couple of clearly Firefly inspired lines/ moments, but that's all I'll say on that.

I went with a standard BlueSun T for the movie. Didn't see any other such gear, but we got there for an earlier show. The place looked packed for the after 7 showing.

gorrammit! Now I'm gonna have to watch it a 3RD time!
Did the Ultimate Marvel Marathon on Thursday/Friday, then took my Nephew on Sat. eve.(2D,missed the 3D Matinee, and the later 3D -9:30p- would have been too late for his mom...)

and is it just me, or did the FINAL scene, and i do mean FINAL, fully post-credits, just SCREAM Joss?
i know he wrote the screenplay, but still.

The trip was "Interesting"... we had a good time, but 'Oh God, Oh God, we all caught a chest cold!'

It was darker the first and second time I saw it and the "irridium" they were trying to retrieve was shaped serenity. ^__^

I saw the movie this past Sunday, and it sure looked like a firefly class ship to me. The way it spun was just like the alliance vessel scanning Serenity.

Ahhh. Saw the film again. That's actually on a little tablet screen that Hawkeye is holding, rather than something being held up and shown to him. And it didn't look too terribly Firefly-esque to me, but it was spinning pretty quickly, and that screencap does make it look reminiscent of Serenity.
