With an update on September 14, Greg has finally added a preview page for Serenity:

Yahoo! has had a Serenity movie page for a while, but this is the first appearance of a Greg's Preview page. Why is this important? Greg's main page has a top 20 list of the "Most Visited Previews". To be on this list is to enhance visibility. How cool would it be to have Serenity appear in this list in the first week it becomes available! Please bookmark the Serenity preview page and click on it whenever you can, say at least once a day. It takes very little time, and cost nothing.

And if you can, please send a thank you note to Greg. We've been hounding him for months about this. It would be nice to thank him for finally coming through.

And who is Greg? In relation to the fandom, I mean. Is he just a guy with a site? Is he an insider?

Also, does it bug anyone else that all the previews I read basically make the movie seem like it's starting from the very beginning of the Firefly story?

"Taking on" River and Simon like they are just joining the group or something? Hello? They've been on Serenity since episode one, people.

It seems like they are previewing Firefly, not Serenity. We already KNOW all this stuff.

I'm sure he just pulled that description of the movie off the official movie site at www.serenitymovie.com -- and by the way, most people DO NOT know any of this stuff. That's the point. We are already going to see the movie countless times, but it's going to be a bust if we can't get people interested who haven't seen or heard of the series yet...

Thanks for the info! I sent Greg a thank you, also.
I noticed under "Based Upon" when he mentions the Firefly series, then says
"It was cancelled before it completed an entire season, but DVD sales of the run of the show were so impressive the movie got the go-ahead."

I was wondering if that was his personal observation or something already posted online somewhere (like the description of the movie). I just think it says a lot about a show that sales of the DVD could produce a major motion picture.

That's true, Willowy, we Firefly fans know the whole story and if your curiosity has the best of you, I have seen some posts claiming spoilers for the movie around. I don't want to be spoiled, so I can't tell you where. I'm assuming these posts go beyond the seeming TV series recap the movie site has. Additionally, there have been many posts stating that Serenity takes place about 8 months after the message. I'm sure there will have to be explanations for the folks that have never seen Firefly before but I believe that Joss will make it interesting enough for the already fans not to fall asleep. To me it doesn't matter since I'm planning to see the movie several times in the first weekend to help it succeed and so long as our BDHs are up on the silver screen (and go for 2 more sequels) I don't much care what they do.
