It makes me excited to see Firefly quotes bandied about completely out of context - I especially see a lot of them tossed about on LJ, in various fandoms. I've seen everything from Harry Potter to Star Wars using quotes like 'Big Damn Heros'.

So my question is: have you seen a Firefly quote used somewhere not-Fireflyish? Perhaps even by someone who's not a Firefly fan at all? Where and what?

The two I see most often seem to be 'Big Damn Heros' and 'Special Hell', in everything from posts to icons.

My husband and I are loyal followers of a video game preview/review show on G4-Tech TV called "X Play". In reviewing a sub-par Dungeons and Dragons video game, Adam Sessler said "I'm smelling a lot of 'if only' coming off this game." Now, that is just too darn similar to Jayne's line to be a mere coincidence. It ain't exactly blinking morse code, but its a secret message to a select few nonetheless.
