We are not trying to keep people out, but we do want to present a united, uniform Battalion of Independent soldiers, and one of the best ways to do this is to look the same.

Did you see Ender's Game Sister? If so, how was it? Want to see it, but don't know anyone who has seen it yet. Going to see Thor this coming Friday.

Cold snap hit us again last night driving out the warm weather. Supposed to be in the low 20s the next couple of nights. Cold is definitely settling in sooner than last year. I rode the bike right up until the week before Christmas last year and at this rate I won't make it until the first of December. *sigh*

Hey Browncoat1!…Have you read Enders' Game? I was concerned (from the trailers I'd seen) that it would not follow the book…but it did! Well worth seeing (the movie, that is.) I shall go on record now that I want a fully functioning Battle Room for Christmas.

I am sure you will be fine Sister. We have only done it twice ourselves in the past 15 years since my mom normally insists on hosting. Still trying to finalize plans for Turkey Day, but no doubt it will be at mom's again. LOL

The wife type is going w/ friends to see the midnight premiere of "Catching Fire" tonight. Me? Not so much. Think it will be an Xbox Live sort of night.

The daughter type will be going up near D.C. Saturday to compete in a prelim for Miss Virginia America. College scholarship money at stake. Wish her luck.

Ahhh, Saturday! Today I am an 'elf' for 'Santa Paws' pictures with pets at a local Petsense Store. It's a fundraiser for an animal shelter that specializes in bully breeds like pit bulls. It's called 'Catch a Falling Star' and it's run by some really great people!

Nice and cold here. Saw snow flurries on the way back from Manassas late Saturday night. Been in the 30s all day today.
