Found it interesting that Millenium Falcon is in the lead in the survey. I think it is leading because it was kind of scruffy -- something you could believe belonged to a person, rather than a government-type entity.

I'm sure that the first time that Kaylee or Wash has to whack something to get it working, I'll be yelling "Yeah!" at the screen like a mad fool

Hmmmm.... the Millenium Falcon is a great design. I have to say though, the NX-01 has really grown on me. I really wasn't so sure about it from the first pics, but there is something very... functional yet elegant about it.

And have you seen the toy Art Asylum is going to produce as part of the Enterprise line?

That's the actual frickin toy, with just some CG glows on the nacelles... man!

Okay, dialing back my geek factor a bit...

While I love Farscape, I always found Moya and Talyn just sort of so-so. Maybe it's the lighting but I can't say I've ever gotten a real good grasp on it's design from watching the series.

As for Babylon 5, I find the designs for their ships so boring... sorry, but I just can't get into it.

Andromeda.... as crap as the show is, I actually kind of like the outside of the Andromeda itself.

For two spaceships I'd nominate - The ship from Galaxy Quest (it was a neat design) and The Tardis - sure, it's just a British Police box but it's still cool.

While I do love a lot of the ship designs for the live action shows listed (I love Moya, and I love Enterprise NX-01)... I can say that *nothing* tops the design of the Space Battleship Yamato. The ship is so damn cool-looking. Maybe this art/design major in me talking... but it's just so so so cool.
