Now we have lost the best sci-fi series ever made...
But this series has allready an established community and all that stuff so i cant believe that this one is going to die overnight.
Whats gonna happen to it. I mean there are allready couple of eps written (i guess) the actors having their rolls at their fingers tips, tons of equipment, etc. whats gonna happen to it.
Think its harder to get rid of all that stuff than for some other channel, (sci-fi/upn) to pick this shop up, so how good is the chance for the show to be picked up?

Joss and Co. are reportedly trying to shop it to UPN already(Thanks to FOX for letting them do so).

We, the fans are sending postcards to UPN, voicing our love for the show, and telling them how much we would all love to watch Firefly on UPN.

If you would like to send some, you can find the addresses on the home page of this site.

Keep those cards and letters flowing!! Speed and Volume are the key!

ok, Firefly is NOT the best sci-fi series ever made, and it's not going to die overnight. I believe that you will do everything in your power to keep it alive. Just like the people at Freak Nation did for Dark Angel. (Dark Angel also had an established 'community')

good luck with that ad, btw.
(we tried that too)

Astro599, I didnt say that it was the best sci-fi series ever made. That was the post I responded to, but I do love this show(and I was/am a Dark Angel fan too). I am doing what I can to keep it on the air, and we do have a shot at UPN as they already have BtVS, which has the best ratings of any show on their network.

Astro, to tell you the truth, Firefly has a far better chance than Dark Angel. It appears as though James Cameron just gave up on the show after it was canned, but Joss Whedon is dedicated, and he has a far better foot hold in the television industry than Cameron ever did.

And, if you're insinuating that Dark Angel was the best sci-fi show ever, well, I have a hard time believing you're in any place to judge quality.

Feeding trolls? Maybe... but I sorta want the trolls to stick around so we can rub it in their faces when Firefly gets picked up by another network.

Why not HBO?

They not only have a far better track record (Jeremiah) but have the budget to run the show.

Sorry to nitpick... but...

Jeremiah is on Showtime

But yes, you're right... HBO or Showtime or even Cinemax would be great choices. PLUS, swearing and nudity!

Sorry, I'm in Canada where all the HBO and Showtime shows just end up on TMN, so I often forget what's from what.

And the swearing and nudity are just bonus's :)

I only have basic cable. Now, it *IS* possible that I would upgrade to pay cable if the show moved there... I might... but then again, my basic cable is "free"... so it would be more than just adding HBO to my existing service.

I think a lot of people wouldn't be able to watch it if it went to a subscription channel.

As for the swearing, I like that they use the Chinese in place of swearing. It makes me giggle. I love trying to figure out what the heck they are talking about.
