The suggestion was made at one of our glorious Virtual Shindigs (and woe betide you if you missed it) that a directory should be compiled of Browncoat-owned small businesses (i.e. handmade soaps, web design, custom jewelry, etc). That way, folk have the option to, shall we say, "Buy Browncoat". Is there any interest in this? Leave me some little response if this is something you'd be keen to look at.

I'd be happy to undertake the project.

(just gauging interest now; not taking information)

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

This sounds like a shiny idea Mary. You could post it on the OB & Serenity Movie board as well. Browncoat businesses could be posted on message boards to allow Browncoats to "buy Browncoat".

I do not, as of yet, have a service to offer or goods to sell, but would most definitely purchase from those that do.

Actually, this kinda ties into something I've been wanting to ask. I own a comic book shop on a pretty busy street in LA (no Browncoat merchandise yet but we carry the Firefly and other Joss commercially released products) and I wanted to put up a banner in the window just let people know Serenity was on the way - there was a terrific bumper sticker with the ship, the Firefly logo and the date of release that would have been perfect but I can't find it now. If anyone could direct me to it, or email the graphic to me I'd be grateful.

Here's one: http:// www.browncoats.com /faq_images/ BSticker1_suinegagpf.jpg . (Copy and Paste into your browser address bar, then remove the excess spaces) I know there's another, but I can't find the address, sorry.

'Yes... this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... "this land".' 'I think we should call it your grave.' 'Ah! Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!'

Oh, I'm all aware of that. But it's not really the same as what I'm thinking. I'm talking about a categorized directory of Browncoat-owned businesses, where the product or service doesn't (necesarrily) have to do with the show. For example, listings for "health & beauty", "business-to-business services", "home improvement/decor," and the rest and so forth.
