Looked up the script for "Jaynestown" and my buddy and yours, RICK, is listed as MEADOWS. Hmmm...

MOH - What's with the vicious lie?!? No more Mudder's Milk for you! Seriously, I love you K...but not as much as Rick. You understand, of course.

Oh man, does that mean the Red Belles(tm) could have done better without that sneaky question?? We'll find out next year, I guess.

Why, Rick? Why, why?

Why did you throw yourself in front of that man with a girl's name! That bullet was not meant for you, Rick!

Oh, oh, Rick.

Alas, poor, poor Rick. He be dead.

I would like to announce my intention here (as nobody on http://fireflydvd.com/phpBB2 would have a clue what I'm talking about, but you should all visit, its a nice board) that before next year I shall attempt to assemble a Rick costume. I don't know if I shall be successful, but I would like your help on one thing to begin with... Can anybody tell for certain if there is a design on his shirt or just a lot of mud?

But how much do we KNOW about Rick, really?

Tonight, on Biography: Rick Meadows.

Once, it seemed that the young Mudder was on his way to becoming the first indentured servant to dig his way out of Canton and become a major pop music star. After winning Alliance Idol, Rick's pretty, almost feminine visage was on the screen of every spaceplex, and Blue Sun Entertainment (Orlando) was said to be grooming Rick Meadows to take over N'Sync5000. But something went terribly wrong. Alas, before Rick could complete the final month of his Mudder's Contract, he fell into bad company and was brainwashed by a cult of Jayne Cobb Worshippers. How did it happen? We'll be back in a moment with Rick's story, after a word from our sponsors...

Uh-oh Grendelsbayne....you may have some competition on this one! In fact, SteamedBao3 (Ryan) is ALSO planning a Rick costume! Need we have a Rick costume contest?!?! Dear Lord! We've created a monster!

By the way...how many official Rickettes are there? Everyone who went to the shindig? LOL

Me again. EXCITING NEWS!!! Our beloved Rick's REAL name is Daniel Luke Bess. He's credited as "Mudder" for his Firefly guest appearance, but it's listed as "Meadows" in the script.

Incidentally - RICK is the character he played in eighteen episodes of "24" in 2001.

Also, his birthday is Oct 8...that's right, the day before the Big Damn Shindig.

Apparently there was a website called Daniel-Bess.com, but my I think it got taken down. BUMMER.

Ah, I thought that was where the Rick name came from. But I echo the others who said, from now on, he shall always be Rick Meadows.

Long Live Rick! Well, at least the memory of Rick, since he's kinda, ya know, dead.

Daniel Luke Bess, eh?

So which one was he in:

Backstreet Boys?
98 Degrees?
N'Sync?
O-Town?

Or, could he be....ex-Menudo?

I dunno. Maybe he's just too young and dead for me. Sigh. I do hate bein' the only PA Shindig Chick who isn't swooning for Rick.

Perhaps if I could just see him in a bonnet...

Here lies Rick. Ashes to Ashes. Dust to Dust. Mudder to Mud...

Everyone stole my idea, I was going to dress up as Rick at the next PA Shindig. I'm all for the Rick costume contest. Rick was a great man for saving Jayne Cobbs life, and deserves all our respects.

If we have a Rick costume contest, it will have to include a renenactment of Rick's death from each Rick wannabe. How else can we tell who really matches poor Rick's truly heroic nature???

I say, we line up all the "Rick Wannabees" at the next Shindig and have a huge tug-o-war across the muddiest spot we can find (e.g., where Larry parked his car). We'll see lots of Ricks diving into the mud, and we can determine who is and who is not worthy to be....Rick, the 2nd Hero of Canton.

Hamsters is nice. If you've got enough rosemary.

I for one think a Rick Tug-O-War would be HI-larious!!! But we will need a Port-A-Shower to go with the Port-A-John!

Port-A-Shower? Heck, we just hose them down.

Shindig Schedule:

2 p.m. Rick Memorial Tug-O-War
3 p.m. Rick Memorial Wet Strip-A-Thon

Guess this had better be a summer event,
with an age requirement....
