I'm pretty sure when they say goran or goram they are saying "damn" (it fits in every occasion)

But just how exactly is it spelled? I tried all the translation matrix i found on the web but the translated it INTO chinese symbols which doesn't do me a darn bit of good.

Thanks if you can help me and if not, thanks just the same.

Hello NomAnor01. Welcome to fireflyfans.net!

I'm not sure that "gorram" is a word in Mandarin (at least, I couldn't find it listed in Ying's Pinyinary - which doesn't mean much because I didn't look that hard - http://fireflychinese.home.att.net/ ). I always took it as English based slang (like "shiny" or "verse") that was derived from g--damn.

*editted to add: That's what I get for not refreshing the page before I reply . What PurpleBelly said...

There are three kinds of people: fighters, lovers, and screamers.

Just remember, I could be a closet supporter of your true-alliance-cell-theory so the endorsement might be suspect.

Nature has infinite variety. Straight lines? Not so much.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

It's alternatively spelled gorramn in some of the writers drafts.

Thanks Purplebelly and Soupcatcher. I just got the series this week and of course already watched it and am watching it again with my wife.
She wasn't crazy about the first 2 hours episode, but after the next two i think i got her hooked like i did with Smallville.

Thanks for the welcome too, glad to have found something this amazing in a show.. even if it was snuffed out before it's time.
