Yanno, this story has been out for a couple days, and when I first read it the tone was PANIC.

Then an hour later, it was WE'RE NOT WORRIED, WHY ARE YOU??

Now it's WE'RE NOT SURE IF THIS IS A PROBLEM, BUT HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED IN PAST STORMS...

Well, I've stocked up the shelf stable grub and batteries, just in case. Couldn't hurt, coming into cold weather seasons anyway... In short, I don't have a good feeling about this (but I can't remember the last time I had a good feeling about ANYTHING for that matter

). I don't think NOTHING will happen but I don't know much about it to begin with. Anyone have an "In" with people who do know SOMETHING that DON'T come from the media?

On March 13, 1989, a solar storm knocked out power for the entire province of Quebec for 12 hours. Power grids in the United States were affected but didn't have blackouts. NASA says some satellites tumbled out of control for hours during what's known as the Quebec Blackout. The space shuttle Discovery was in orbit at the time and had a mysterious sensor problem that went away after the storm, NASA says.

Says we could get it Saturday now, btw...

Instead of SOLAR wind, I think they meant POLAR wind, damn it's coooold this mornin'!

Have you not heard of the Global Warming that algore invented? It's barely out of August, and i keep hearing tha the planet is heating up.
