May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I agree. She is beautiful, exotic, and graceful. Hopefully the BDM will give her the break into feature films she deserves.

MAL
You're a very graceful woman, Inara.

INARA
(surprised)
I... thank you.

MAL
So here's where I'm fuzzy: you got
by that girl, came and found me, and
then you just happened to trip and
fall?

INARA
Wh- what do you mean?

MAL
Come on, Inara, how's about we don't
play. You didn't just trip, did you?

INARA
No.

MAL
Well isn't that something. I knew
you let her kiss you.

I agree. She tended to be overshadowed sometimes by Mal, Jayne, and Kaylee, but to me, Inara and Mal are the glue that held the show together.

From what we've seen in the trailer shown at Comic Con and the images taken from the set, she looks even better in the movie than she did in the show.

Gosh, where to begin..... Look at just about any scene with Morena in it, and you might notice that you just cant keep your eyes off of her. She does have a "presence" about her, but that smile, *sigh* she just lights up the whole room.

Everyone dies alone.

Was it just me, or did Morena seem to get better looking with each ep on the DVD?

But I still favor Summer. She is, after all, a student of flamenco dance.

Yep, I'd have to go along with that, too.

I don't really have a fovorite episode, but I have favorite character episodes. You know, I have a favorite Wash episode, Kaylee episode, etc...

My favorite Inara episode is "Our Mrs. Reynalds". I like it because in all the other episodes, Inara is witty, but not "funny". Know what I mean? But, in that episode, she was so funny! We got to see a vulnerable side to her we hadn't seen yet. She was trying to hide the fact that she kissed Mal, and it was great! Morena was awesome in that one, as the rest.

Totally agree JRC. There is a presence about her. I can't put my finger on it. She is aesthetically pleasing.

THESOMNAMBULIST

First time I watched Firefly I missed most of the background elements and subtle acting from the others on account of being totally mesmerized by her. (sorta had the same thing with Starship Troopers and Denise Richards)

Morena is very attractive and I think a funny actress too, especially when In "Our Mrs Reynolds" she's lying on the bed pretending to be fine and she's just comfy where she is! I thought that was exceptional.

Also she's adept at the more dramatic, as when she was crying her eyes out after she finds out Mal slept with her friend. Sheesh. Broke ma heart.

Still I'd like to see her in something other than those frilly dresses though. Y'know pair of jeans a t-shirt and kickin' but like Zoe gets to do.

No offense, but I completely disagree. It just isn't in character for her, in my opinion. She's trained to fight, but she's more interested in using her feminine wiles to get out of situations. She wouldn't dress to fight, but her attire will most likely allow her to move as is necessary in such a situation.

Just my thoughts, though.

Yes, she is a great actress, beautiful, with a wonderful presence.

Hey Rabit

No I'm in agreement with you. It isn't in her character at all, but I'd still like to see it :)

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I am really hoping that Morena and the rest of the cast manage to make it to Dragon Con next year. With the BDM being out, and there being a good chance the Browncoat Ball will be there, it would be great to have everyone's favorite companion in attendance.

Of course if she is there I can only hope I don't act like a total fanboy and stammer and stutter. Just my luck I would meet Morena and act like a moron.

or meet her and come off a bit insulting by asking her how much for the night. although it's almost worth it, just in case ;)

I think Morena is absolutely stunning in the show and in person.

Gina is stunning, too, but we don't get to see as much of her soft side on the show, which affects how much I am drawn to her.

That said, I was suprised at ComiCon how beautiful ALL of the women were -- I didn't feel like there was such a contrast. I thought all of them pretty in the show, but Kaylee and River are usually dressed so poorly and have so much dirt, etc. on their faces that they didn't tend to look their best.

Someone mentioned in a post these many moons ago that there is a still shot from Firefly in which Morena looks like a 5 year old. That person didn't like the still, but I do. I think that one of the reasons Inara is so beautiful is that you see both the girl, the woman, and the woman she has yet to be in her all at once.
