Has anyone heard if any of the BDH's are going to be at Gen Con this August in Indy? If not, I'd like to start an e-mail campaign to get Gen Con LLC to book our heroes for this year's show.
The chairman of Gen Con LLC, is Peter Adkinson and the GM is Karin Simpson. They can both be reached at petergencon.com and Karingencon.com respectively.

For those not familiar with Gen Con, it is the largest gaming convention in North America, with 30,000 in attendance year after year (I think this may put it second only to Comic Con for overall Con attendance). This year's dates are August 18-21. Games covered are mostly CCG's, Tabletop, D&D type role playing games, and PC games. Comics, Anime, and Sci-Fi are well represented too.

This must be on Universal's radar, but just in case, I'd like to start e-mailing Gen Con officials to let them know that the BDH's are important enough to be on the guests of honor list.

I'm thinking maybe something along these lines:

Dear Gen Con Officials,
As I'm sure you know, there are two truly exciting events set to take place this fall. The first, of course, is Gen Con Indy. The Best Four Days In Gaming!

The second is set to take place on September 30th at theaters across North America and the world. It is the premiere of Joss Whedon's highly anticipated movie Serenity. Serenity is the movie adaption of Joss's much beloved, and highly revered, TV show Firefly. Serenity is distributed by Universal Pictures.

Joss is well known throughout the entertainment industry as one of the brightest, and most original creative forces around. His credits include Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, TitanAE, and the recently announced Wonder Woman among others. Firefly certainly proved his talents again by combining compelling narrative with a genre blending backdrop, terrific action, and impressive character development. Serenity is set to continue this tradition on to the big screen.

This certainly fits in with the kind of entertainment that Gen Con is built upon. Smart, intelligent, thoughtful, and definitely fun. It is my opinion, that the addition of some, if not all, of the cast of Serenity would make an excellent addition to your always impressive guests of honor at Gen Con Indy.

Please take my request into consideration when making your booking choices for Gen Con Indy. Thank you for your time and your consideration.

Sincerely,

If you do send it, post here that you did, so we get an idea of what we've sent. Check for typos also. I wrote this at about 1:30 am, so hopefully my spellchecker worked!
