Am just testing the water really

few people have said theyd love to have a shindig in London, nothing fancy, just us doing what we do best..

liquid chocolate is optional

Have decided that we could meet in a TGIs (there are 3 to choose from, leicester square, fulham road or covent gardens) eat, drink and be merry

We would all pretty much take care of our own money, although we can always do a bill per table etc, stuff we can sort out when we are there.

sooo, obviously after the recent bombings im not sure how people feel.

Listen up missy, If being a Sci-Fi fan makes me a geek, If being a proud Browncoat makes me a geek, then so be it, cause i know I can count of everyone of those people to help make me smile each day, I have never met a bunch of people with such kind hearts, minds and souls as those Sci-Fi freaks as you so nicely put it. So sure call me names, but im proud to know all those people,from all over the world... how many people can you say that about - Me having a rant at a muck spreading B**ch at my kids school

I might be interested in another day trip to London (have to catch a 2 1/2 hour coach), but it all depends on when? what? how? & why?

The `why?` is easy - don`t need any of them d`ar `xuses for a shindig

The `how?` pretty much covers itself - TGI Fridays would be good - obviously you will need to know numbers in advance(`ish)

The `what?` is what sort of things do you want to do? I don`t mind just a social meal & drink but you could have games & maybe some funky fan stuff

The `when?` is the most important question, as this will dictate whether or not people(me

) can make it - If it`s this side of August on a Saturday then `yes` & if it`s later in the month, I can preview some very shiny Jayne Hats for the August Memorabelia Shindig (13th August Birminghams NEC) & Fantable - although they will mainly be for people with tickets to that Shindig (another good reason to go, apart from the fact we will have lots of nice goodies from UIP too

).

So when do you intend to do this? are we taling Bank Holiday Weekend at the end of the month or sooner?

**UPDATE** Drat, just realised, I may be going to the live Jousting Event on the 24th at Berkerley Castle, so my options are limited to 2x Saturdays, unless I go the following weekend to the Joust (but then my friends won`t be there because they are planning on the previous Saturday) - Aaargh!

When is something im thinking about

no way am i going to be able to organise this before 22nd July, I also have kids, one with an illness, so that too short of a time span

the old addage, cant please all the people all the time is going to apply im sure. but i will do my best to accomodate everyone, i thank heaven for my wonderful nurse/babysitter Bianca.

I was going to go for an august date, If it goes well, then I will always organise another in september.

Hi,

Would most definitely have to give it a miss for August, and there`s 2 reasons - the one about the Fantable & Shindig on the 13th & 14th & the other being that there are the planned screenings penned for August - it`s still in the works, we might have more details closer to the end of this month (all going well)

I would love to come with lots of waving of arms and such like.

However, it all depends when the showing for Serenity is. If I manage to get tickets for that I will have to use that as my shindig. If I don't them I will be able to get a flight for whenever you arrange.
